I Mother is a game without words that explores the genesis of written language and the evolutionary triumph of Homo Sapiens, all supported by archaeological research. It is also a story of triumph over adversity that explains why, to this day, roughly 4% of our DNA is Neanderthal in origin.
No-language

The entire game communicates with you using symbols based on archaeological finds ranging from 35,000 BCE to 10,000 BCE. The use of prehistoric pictograms is based on the groundbreaking research work of Genevieve Von Petzinger.
The main character also communicates with you through her “thoughts” that use prehistoric symbols and original iconography.
No technology
To emphasise the immersion in the prehistoric environment, the game features no use of any technology nor map. Instead, you survive by learning how to master nature.
Survival
You are also a subject to human physiology, thirst and hunger. You have to hunt, gather food and find drinkable water sources to survive.
Senses
Enable senses and memory to smell, hear or recall where certain points of interest are located. It does not show you their actual location nor distance. Instead, it shows the directions as an internal compass. It mimics an actual human mind-mapping technique.
No violence
The game does not focus on any unnecessary or unnatural violence or brutality. Any death in the game is justified and supports basic survival. Therefore, you can hunt only small animals. The big ones can only be scared, tricked or avoided, They may kill you in self-defence.
Controller
There is no keyboard support, the game supports only controller. Recommended are Xbox (ONE, S) and PS(4,5)
