The game utilizes a fusion of Visual Novel, RPG, and Point-&-Click mechanics to paint a story about how people choose to cope with trauma, and the way it shapes one's identity. While the main story of Throwup Club is firm, it features hundreds of branching paths, choices, and open exploration areas to engage in along the way. Every action you take, and every choice you make, is remembered and seen through to its very end.

The world of Throwup Club is heavily inspired by the works and the aesthetics of Yami Kawaii, Liminality, Traumacore, and both Modern & Pastel Goth. It features a long, diverse, and dark soundtrack done by lolratz combining elements of Breakcore, Hyperpop, and Witch House music genres.

Throwup Club's Sanitoria is full of disturbing secrets, and widespread mental challenges. Thankfully, you won't have to be alone- Tsurine will have the opportunity of engaging in one of four different major romance routes. Each route and character will offer help in combat, a large influence on the story, and a slowburn yuri romance to tug at your heartstring implants! After all- dark places birth beautiful relationships. Just be wary of those with worse intentions. Where will you draw the lines between circumstance, intention, and abuse?

Throwup Club is tetralogy opera, composed of 4 planned games, each with 4 "Discs" each. This is the first, and its demo is the entirety of Disc 0.
