Goddess Of Swing

"Goddess Of Swing" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Hochschule Mittweida in Germany. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" games, we must still question what value they have for gamers. This isn't a fully fleshed out game. It's the result of an academic exercise and has much more limited value than a professionally developed game. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments. It helps their marketing and makes students feel good, but it puts the business before the needs of gamers. Case in point, the developers abandoned this 1 year and 2 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The students got their grades and walked away, leaving this as incomplete junk on Steam. Why is that good for us gamers? But we're getting ahead of ourselves... what is "Goddess of Swing"?? Well, it's a 3D rendered top down adventure/action/puzzle game... you play a semi-robotic looking Steampunk-esque "Goddess" of 1920's swing dancing and you spin around vario…

Cool concept, terrible execution. Just save your time by not giving it a chance, music and sfx are awkward and don't match with the gameplay. Mechanics are just non existent, you don't know if what you're doing is right or wrong. The HUD is also confusing and doesn't make sense. The concept has potential but just not made well enough.

The game is ineradicable, even if the game play is a bit bare bones, it is a lot of fun for when you want to just relax

This is one of the worst games I've played in the last few years. The "tutorials" are garbage. Actually playing it is worse, because there's no visual or audio feedback for anything. The music is repetitive and grating. I strongly suggest spending your time on something else.
