Monsters Domain

Has a lot of issues and could use a lot of quality of life improvements to make it less tedious to do things but it's not as bad as everyone is saying its a mid/below average game that isn't worth 20$ buy on sale only.

Everything feels very unfinished. The voice acting is amateurish, the music has weird annoying beeps (thought it was construction outside at first), the glitches will rob your inventory, the battle mechanics are choppy, and the switch to a base building and wave combat defense game is super jarring and poorly integrated. Has a lot of potential, but is just kind of half baked.

Stay away from this game!. The premise was interesting but the execution was janky and when the devs were punished for delivering a bad product the prefered to go radio silent instead of trying to save the game.

Broken piece of crap!

Monsters Domain is an ambitious attempt at blending action role-playing with base management and dungeon exploration, developed and published by G-DEVS.com in collaboration with CreativeForge Games. It presents an enticing premise that places players in the role of an ancient necromancer resurrected from the depths of oblivion, striving to reclaim his lost domain and restore his dark power. Rather than playing as a noble hero or a savior, you embody the villain, commanding undead legions, conquering dungeons, and spreading corruption across a dark fantasy world. The idea is immediately captivating—few games allow players to experience the other side of the traditional fantasy conflict—and Monsters Domain initially promises a mix of strategy, first-person combat, and necromantic mastery. Unfortunately, the execution struggles to live up to the concept, as the game’s impressive ambition is undercut by technical shortcomings, shallow systems, and inconsistent design choices that leave the experience feeling unfinished. The game begins with your awakening in a ruined dungeon, your powers fragmented and your once-mighty domain reduced to dust. From there, you begin rebuilding your army…

I'm not quite sure why the game is this badly rated, I nearly didn't get the game based on the poor reviews. I've played much, MUCH worse games that had infinitely better scores. Is it janky? Yes. Is it buggy? Yes. It's everything the bad reviews say it is in that area, but the game was still quite enjoyable to play despite that, especially for the 2 bucks I paid for it, it was entirely worthwhile (but definitely don't pay full price!). The graphics are fairly decent, the music is pretty enjoyable, the voice acting is good, and the gameplay is fun if you can overlook how unpolished it is... There really was great potential here, but it went underdeveloped and could have been so much better if many of the kinks had be ironed out. It's a shame the devs don't seem interested in doing that. If you are interested in a first person action RPG, with necromancy and base-building elements, this game might scratch that itch for a little while. Again, get it on sale and give it a shot.
