About Rhythm Taichi XR
Rhythm Taichi XR is a physical dancing mixed reality rhythm game that turns your smartphone into a motion camera. It is compatible with most custom songs on beatsaver, and requires no specialized hardware. It is also available as a second screen for your phone or as a standalone VR game.
3D Rhythm, reinvented
Rhythm Taichi takes a fresh new approach to 3D rhythm games. Slide your fingers gracefully along the paths traced on the screen, following the beats of the music - it's like practicing Taichi with your fingers!
Swipe with style, swipe with ease
Rhythm Taichi is built from the ground up, optimized for touch input. A carefully crafted pathing algorithm provides a comfortable yet challenging amount of finger travel for each hand. We've also ruthlessly optimized the game's graphics and networking pipeline to ensure that the game responds quickly and smoothly to your actions.
Looks good, feels good too
The new touch tracking algorithm is more precise then ever - and with the innovative 'rainfall' style timing effects, you get instant feedback on your synchronization performance. Finishing a song is just the beginning - compete against players around the world by perfecting your runs and submitting your scores on the leaderboard!
Thousands of supported songs
Rhythm Taichi maintains compatibility with the beat saver song format, and provides an in-game integration with the beat saver API for thousands of supported songs. If you don't wish your songs to be indexed within the game, specify that in the description of your song on beatsaver and send us an email with the link.
You can also download songs from beatsaver yourself and install them by using the "import" function from within the game menu or extract directly to the following directory:
C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Tempstudio, LLC\Rhythm Taichi\savedsongs
It's time to dance in XR
Rhythm Taichi's 2.0 update features XR mode support on PC. Powered by the latest advancement in artificial intelligence and machine learning, XR mode turns your phone into a high speed motion camera, without needing any specialized hardware. If you have trouble getting started, make sure to read the manual.
Virtual Reality Supported
Rhythm Taichi supports desktop VR setups (on Windows). Controller phone is not required, but can be used to sign in to submit scores to the leaderboard. Adjust the in-game height with the settings on the left part of the menu if your position is uncomfortable.

✦ AI summary
Rhythm Taichi is a motion-based rhythm game that works across multiple platforms including VR headsets, phones, and PC with webcam support, with players appreciating its simple yet challenging gameplay similar to Cut the Rope. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues including broken level importing and downloading, webcam access concerns, and overall has failed to gain meaningful player traction on Steam despite being free-to-play.

Most people think it's a rip off of Beat Saber, and while that's how it started, it's actually a pretty good game now. You can play with your phone, your phone's camera, and A VR headset. The game is simple: follow the strings. it's simple, yet difficult, kinda like Cut The Rope edit: recent updates have caused the game to not work. i cant import levels, nor download them. levels i have already downloaded have desintegrated, and i even got a pop up saying that the data folder has been deleted, and after factory resetting the game nothing worked. however, the game still works on Google TV, and Oculus Standalone, but it doesnt work in VR mode. overall, cool game, but i cant even play it anymore.
i forgot why i played this and when
"Rhythm Taichi XR" is a weird, junky, failed attempt to make some kind of paygated "rhythm" game where you wave your arms around in front of your webcam, because that's apparently "gameplay". You need to pay $2 to actually let the developers turn on your webcam... and let's be real here, NO games at all should be getting access to your webcam. Creepy. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
i learned the majima breaker style playing this game
OMG, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR STEAM RELEASE OF RHYTHM TAICHI FOR ALMOST 1,5 YEARS AND THERE IT ISSS😍 IN MY OPINION IT'S SUPER RIGHT NOW but I need something like Kinect 360/one or JoyCon hand ,,tracking" because I've bought DLC, and sometimes 30 fps camera is worse than Kinect 360 30 fps + joycons with driver4vr in VR games (I was able to finish expert song in beat saber with this 30fps kinect and here with webcam 30fps I was able to finish hard, and to ,,try" expert) So, it's so damn good right now but it still needs something
