What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate the game's distinctive style and creative premise of fighting cosmic horror with mundane weapons, along with some inspired narrative moments. However, the game suffers from severe technical issues including frequent crashes and lack of autosave that make it difficult to complete, while some players find the pacing slow and feel the story setup delivers limited payoff. Additionally, there are serious concerns about the game's controversial content involving minors.
I've played three Szymanski games, and two of them, including this one, lean heavily into sexual relationships between adult men and preteen girls. There are only two reasons an adult man would repeatedly feature this theme in his games, the more charitable of those being for shock value, but it doesn't feel shocking, it just feels exploitative. Please stop using the abuse of minors to sell games.3 found this helpful
Really love the art direction.
Walking sims are boring, but I found the characters in this one to be enjoyable and the art style is very beautiful and unique. Overall, it is worth it, but maybe pass if you dislike walking sims.
I really appreciated the unsettling nature of the game without resorting to jumpscares or even enemies really. The art style, of course, is also very interesting. The main antagonist in the game is essentially yourself, very subversive and it didn't really come across as pretentious here imo. The game is definitely worth the money as someone who did not enjoy Iron Lung. The theme of the game is very poignant but I felt that the Roger character was somewhat half-baked and only really served as an unintentional red herring. That's really the only downside to the game. Like I said, it was good and worth the money.
i really like the style of the game and i am sure it would be an awesome experience if it didn't crash constantly. in the 30 something minutes i have played, the game crashed at least 6 times at various points on the map. the game doesn't autosave and you can only save manually when you exit the game of your free will so i had to start over every time. I would have loved to see and experience the whole game but like this it is impossible.
