Wild Runs

[h1]Overview:[/h1] Even for free, this is a game I would not recommend playing especially in it's current state. '[i]Wild Runs[/i]' is a 2D platformer that strays so far from a finished game it can barely be called a game at all. Essentially you're an unnamed character that is tasked to complete 9 different levels in order to be dubbed the "[i]Wild Runner[/i]". However, achieving this title is not possible because one of the levels is impossible to beat on top of a ton of other game breaking glitches that make the game unplayable. It is [i]impressive[/i] how many issues there are with this game and I'll break down all the ones I was able to find. I honestly believe this game shouldn't have been released especially where it's currently standing. There are just too many issues to deem the game appropriate for play and I'll cover them in depth. "Wild Runs" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a very poorly made and amateurish 3D rendered 2D platformer with a lame parkour kind of theme, with bad assets, zero polish, 9 badly slapped together levels, so you may be asking, was this a thunderous success here on Steam? And the answer is: No, no it was not. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. ok but how do you unlock it and how do you get the achievement(51 percent globally got it!?) level 5 literally has no flag to win so idk even how also its not an open world game(would be awesome if it was) its just a very broken very slippery 2d sidescroller platformer <3 level 1 is easy to beat just run through the level no danger level 2 is rip your hair out but can be beaten really easily with some careful timing, and shield. run up to the first ninja at the platform beneath him then jump up the one above you and go left until you reach the next ninja simply jump behind him and run to the left and bounce on the mushrooms keep going left until you hit the flag level 3 is slightly easier and shows off the (slippery) jump mechanics... kill the super mario things by jumping on their heads or just standing on them with the shield level 4 is hard to get, go to the marker real slow level 5 is a snow level with no flag seriously i tried it 10 times thinking it failed to spawn or something.... similar to the door in levl 6 ...cant figure this one out. doubt i will get a reply. if you are reading this and know then tell me! i need this achievement! dev, will paypal you 50 bucks if…

Wild Runs is exactly how you can poorly create 2D game with 3D assets. This is barebones of game, somewhat playable, but on short notice, because level design does not exist and simplest things are not there, like listing controls, actually saving information of last visited level, etc. "SideScroller" as window title or "Project8" is also showing, that someone did not even bother changing those while creating game.
