About Harpagun

Be Harpagun. Get stranded on a deserted planet. Accidentally destroy your own rocket. Be swarmed by insane critters. Wreck stuff, throw aliens. Argue with your useless crew. Smash more enemies. Meet a girl. Have hallucinations. Listen to slav beats. Shoot living grenades.

What is? Look at gifs.

This a game. In VR. With story and stuff. Also combat. A lot of combat. It’s good - you have weapons but won’t use them cause it’s more fun to take a washing machine and slam it into an alien’s head.

You can move stuff with a gravity ray. Enemies too, just yeet them into a wall or something and they die.

It’s an arcade game. You know, one of the ones you actually have fun playing. Like an on-rails-shooter but not really because you can move around and don’t puke. Just try it, it works. If not - return to sender, spend money on other stuff.

Ok, I’m out. No more to say. Watch gifs, wishlist, download, spend good time. Leave comment. Visit discord. Bye.

What in all the heckers of heckland were they thinking with that first boss?? I'm on attempt 50 and running out of steam. The game was super enjoyable but what the heck, this thing basically kills you as soon as it spawns, it's unbelievable, what the absolute heck in the world kind of a game makes an impossible first boss after 20 minutes of gameplay? I would probably have loved this game but I can't spend the rest of my life trying to pass the first boss... ffs.

I bought this on sale for $2 so its a great game at this price but the negative reviews about the 1st boss are correct. I thought this was simply a "git gud" or low skill player sort of complaint. But the boss is just straight up annoying on the 3rd phase. I died 3 times on the 3rd phase then just gave up due to the BS factor. Feels like a pre 2020 VR game since its a rail shooter or node-to-node based movement. I just don't want to give a negative review for being bad at the game but the negative reviews are justified.

I don't like it. You move between fixed positions and cannot freely move.

A very fun comedy shooter/smasher Harpagun is pretty much that evalotion of a VR wave shooter or maybe a rail shooter, the game operates on teleporting to specific node on the map, you reach a point enemies attack you fight off a wave then progress forward, along the way three voices over a TV give story. the game has guns but they have cooldowns so much of your attacks will also just be smashing enemies agaist the walls/floors agaist objects or each other its quite statifying combat. Its not a long campaign but there is also an arcade mode for more replayability.

A solid VR game, good pacing, I didn't have bugs of any kind. I encountered a good difficulty and pacing (maybe they tweak bosses after a few negative reviews). Recommended if you want some arcade action in short sessions and for new people in VR, as this game can be played from a seated position and without too much activity. Not recommended if you want to exercise a lot.

Absolute insanity, loved it. Odd, but in all the right ways. Very well made
