I made this game, of course I got it for free. At this point (it's been about 2 months now with concept and testing) the best thing about The Gamble Maze is wandering the maze, that's the real gamble: just getting to an empty room. I like being able to enter my name, or another name, every time I play, this part is important, but also: if I'm in a rush I can just skip name entry too. I can role-play and make the world bigger this way. I like that the doors are locked and force me to wager to proceed. I like that that loading screens are also doors. I like that the semi-uniform rooms, randomized starting locations and redistributions within The Maze is enough to make me think about what I am doing every time I play The Gamble Maze(tm). Not knowing exactly where I am, but being able to figure it out, keeps each playthrough fresh and feisty even after I've memorized The Maze's layout, kind've makes me feel smart too. I like having to work for my Victory, it makes it more real. I like the 8-bit art style, it's so overly simple that it encourages my imagination to start working. I like how there's that disembodied voice sassing me and encouraging me to wager larger, not smaller; …1 found this helpful
