Escape Line

First off… [b] THIS GAME IS FREE!!! [/b] So, you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying it out!! I had such a blast playing it (having over 6 hours of gameplay) that I wanted to leave a review. I’ll do my best to keep this as spoiler-free as possible! The story is genuinely really good and interesting! The only real hiccup I ran into was that the English translation can be a little jumbled at times, and I had to use a translator to figure out where the language settings were before I could switch everything over to English. (I’ll try and post pictures showing where the setting is so it makes it a bit easier for the English speakers to find it.) Once I got everything sorted, though? I was hooked. [spoiler] (Get it? Because they are fish!? Lol!) [/spoiler] The artwork is absolutely gorgeous (the artist really outdid themselves with the character designs!), and the story has way more heart than I was expecting. It has plenty of funny and wholesome moments, but don’t let that fool you, it also knows exactly when to punch you in the feelings. I legitimately teared up after learning about a certain character who’s quietly done so much for you throughout the game with you even know…

I need more... MERMAN ROMAAAANNCCEEE and God answer my prayer with this game. This game literally the salvation for my unsolved hunger of merman VN╰(*°▽°*)╯

[i]mmm sexy sirenn.[/i] The game impresses with its charm and thoughtfulness. THERE ARE A LOT OF LETTERS HERE, AND IT'S A LITTLE SCARY. But it's the best novel I've ever seen, and the plot is amazing. There are many philosophies, and there are enough endings. 10 sexy sirens out of 10. (I'm not English, nor Japanese, I don't speak these languages, so it was a little hard to understand what was happening, after 7 hours of playing, I still don't understand the full picture, but the translator is very helpful.)

Everyone else seems to like this, so I'll give it a thumbs up, but I'm just so confused. This might have been a bad choice of game for me as someone who enjoys stories with a clear progression and smooth, polished feeling. This might be a dating sim, but at no point did I feel the need to pull out my patented smooth moves. The artwork is good, but the backgrounds don't match very well and are generally fairly low-quality. 4/10. It might sound strange, but I'm personally not a fan of mythological bestiality. Also, I can never forgive the Mermaids for what they did to my crew. They pulled up singing about some sailor gold, pulled out their fangs, and started to absolutely wreck the sh1t out of my homies. Jack Sparrow barely managed to save the day.
