  • Lively world. Lively despite everything that happened;
  • Mysterious and disturbing atmosphere;

  • Quests are quite diverse;
  • You're being watched;
  • Puzzles with the system of hints;
  • You can choose different options in dialogs (but will it matter in the end?);
  • Original assets and soundtrack.

It is broken and abandoned (Unable to cut the tree). Why are you still selling it? Shame on you, AIHASTO.

Fariwalk: The Prelude, developed by AIHASTO and published by Volens Nolens Games, is a brief but evocative indie adventure that introduces players to a somber and mysterious post-apocalyptic world. Released in late 2017, the game functions as a prologue to the broader Fariwalk universe, providing a glimpse into a desolate landscape where humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. Within this setting, players navigate a world filled with remnants of civilization, lurking monsters, and a handful of surviving humans, all while experiencing a story that blends melancholy, curiosity, and subtle tension. The gameplay in Fariwalk: The Prelude revolves around exploration and discovery. Players assume the role of a child on a personal quest, interacting with the environment, solving simple puzzles, and engaging with the few remaining inhabitants of the world. The game encourages a slow, contemplative pace, rewarding players who take the time to explore hidden areas and observe the small details that populate the landscape. While there are quests and tasks to complete, the game emphasizes atmosphere and narrative over traditional gameplay challenges, creating an experience more akin to an…

Absolutely NO! Unacceptable! This is an very bugy mess, the states of it is miserable. The constant crashes, constant corrupt files & as others point out loop crash, making you unable to lunch the game. If the game crashes you lose all your items in your inventory. The ones you got by completing the quests. Does this mean you need to redo the quests to get the items once more? NO! You need to restart the hole game again! There is no run option or just go faster, no you have to slowly get your way back & forth. Proving once again how lame the developer AIHASTO is. No option to skip dialogues. NPC's walk even slower than you, forcing you to wait in almost all quests. You want to change a SIMPLE setting like the sound/resolution? Oh you need to exit the game & go back to the main menu. What's that? You will lose your walking progress! I lost count of how many times I had to restart the hole game to finish it to 100% This game is AIHASTO (developer) pissing on you and telling you his pissrain service is ''worth'' 11.-$

I was very on the fence about whether to recommend the game or not, on the positives: Good atmosphere, very unique world and characters with weird little side quests. Plus the art styles fun. Horror aspect I'll say is pretty small it's mostly just a couple of tiny easily avoidable jump scares and the atmosphere so I'd find it accessible to none horror fans. The map is small but it's very easy to get distracted by every new discovery making it feel bigger than it is. The negatives well, You cannot avoid a crash if you're going for 100% but good news! It should only take two playthroughs to 100% (it did for me) The first i'd suggest finding all the artefacts you can (last one is in an area you cant access until later but the game will crash before you get there) and doing the four side quests (Pocha, Melond, Dollisa and the book) as well as getting the other achievements. The game will unfortunately crash after you've completed the quests with Dolirra and Lon as you try and return to the yard, unfortunately the save file can no longer be accessed and you will have to start a new game. Once you start a new game you can pretty much run straight through Dolirra and Lons quests avoiding…

It is a short, atmospheric "walking simulator" type of game with a light story. Overall, I liked it, and I generally enjoyed my time with it. It can be completed in about 1 hour, and the tasks are quite simple. However, I must point out that I unfortunately encountered many bugs during my playthrough. The most significant was a recurring crash-loop error, which – as I've seen from other reviews – many players have run into. Despite trying common solutions (reinstalling the game, running in compatibility mode, as administrator, etc.), none of them helped. Ultimately, the only way I could progress was by manually editing the game's save files. For a 10 euro game, this is not necessarily an ideal expectation for the player, and I was a bit disappointed in this regard. I purchased it during a sale. If you can overlook the technical issues and some bugs, then for that price, it was a pleasant little pastime.
