One of the hidden-est hidden gems on steam, a truly insane mashup of hack n' slash, third-person shooter, and baseball. You play as a superpowered baseball-playing demon girl and every 15 second a new inning starts, which switches you between batting and pitching (though you eventually unlock the ability to change when you want, but the auto-switch still happens). When you're batting, whatever you hit gets knocked into whatever you're aiming at, and pitching gives you a slow, but powerful shot. Every stage has some kind of unique gimmick and the real meat of the game is figuring out how to string your abilities together to clear it as fast as possible. If you don't beat it by the final inning you die, and you have to unlock more innings until you get the full nine. You eventually unlock a variety of ultimates you can do when getting a combo, which are all a lot of fun to discover, and you even get a deckbuilding aspect where you collect and unlock trading cards that also have extra powers. It's a lot more in-depth than I expected, and 3 hours in I'm still not quite done with everything, so you certainly get a lot of content for your dollar. If I had one complaint about the game,…

A silly yet unique and quite technical hack and slash game with a lot more than meets the eye. Don't let the amateurish looks fool you, the game is actually pretty competent hack and slash title with surprising amount of depth thanks to the game's many many mechanics to play with. It encapsulates the satisfaction of mastering the learning curve of character action games with it's own unique flair. The gameplay works around a cycle, where you switch between a pitcher; turning the game into a shooter, and then batter; which turns the game into a hack and slash. The shooting aspect of this game is extremely lacking compared to the batting aspect where the game really shines with tons of slaying and bullet deflecting (because it's baseball) to do. The satisfaction comes from being able to time your attacks to score combos of kills and deflects to kill hordes of enemies. And in typical action game fashion you upgrade your character and unlock special moves, and allows you to break the game wide open with loads of options, such as being able to actually throw a baseball on your own, and also hit them for more damage, allowing for some quick work of fights.
