Can't say I had much fun with this one. The UI controls are absolute trash. I get to the pitching tutorial, and I can't even move the target over the plate properly, because when I hit the stick the control is all over the place. Same thing with pitch selection. It does not snap in place to each pitch you can select. Instead it jumps all over the place there too. In it's current state, this is absolutely worthless as a baseball game.

Love the mechanics. The graphics are great but it needs some work on the balance of performance and graphics, you put the graphics high it looks amazing but then the game runs in slow-mo, not even an fps drop, just the game runs literaly in slow-mo. But other wise this game is fantastic and can't wait to see what else it has in store.

Game is fun, but some caveats. Hitting ranges from too easy to being too difficult. Pitching is very tough to master and I wish they’d work in a meter system like The Show. I’ve played this series going back to the Pro Yakyuu games and pitching just lacks feedback. It’s like the pitching mechanics from old games and I just wish I had more control over how my pitcher is throwing. Fielding is fine, but players move very slow in the outfield. No throwing meters mean that I don’t really know how my players are going to throw the ball. The presentation is top notch. Commentary is robotic and sounds like AI lol. Graphics are much better than MLB: The Show. I’d give it a solid 7.5/10 out of ten. This is basically a glorified Tech Demo.

it's not a horrible game, it just needs some polish. We all need games like this to succeed if we are ever going to keep the big companies honest with their yearly releases. Maybe if they keep building on this game, it will force the developers of The Show to stop creating a trash roster update each year and charging top price for it, maybe this game will create the competition needed so we can continue to play good baseball games in the future. This imo is what all games need, they need competition to get better and I am hoping this game forces it's competitors to think outside the box and give us something new and refreshing instead of the same trash roster updates bit of a learning curve with the controls, so if you're looking for a casual button masher ball game look elsewhere
