ARTWORK: character stills have little variety, no CGs, and the backgrounds are rough just like the game in general. STORY: very very short, the good/bad endings are shared between the two opposing characters, the writing needs a lot of polishing, and story/personality progression is way too fast and nonsensical, in every sense - i.e. getting a job at a top rated establishment with nothing but an informal chat. SOUND: the best part of the game be probably the generic music used. Of course, no voice acting included. OTHER: There is also a mini game that needs to be played at times, a generic and easy to play match 3 but somehow more fun to play then the story itself. Achievements are story related and overall straightforward to obtain, and card set is small and cheap, so the game has these going for it. RATING: it is cheap but still way overpriced for the - little and poorly put together - content offered. Buy it only as part of a bundle or in sale. 4/108 found this helpful
"Heart and Seoul" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. One caveat here, the game does include a match-3 minigame, very poorly done thanks to the Tyrano construction kit. The quality of the minigame is low, and it's the type of game you can play for free on the web or on mobile, so for the purpose of this review I'll disregard that component... I don't feel the presence of this minigame is going to be a compelling, decisive factor in any purchases for this e-book. This e-book was slapped together with the godawfully bad Tyrano Visual Novel/E-Book construction kit, so just like no professional writing took place here, no professional game development took place either, it's just a product of fill…2 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful
Easy 100% but at what cost
I just watched a game use powerpoint presentation transitions and random footage of a dj party with a white-majority audience in a setting of Seoul, South Korea all for it to lead up to a pun at the end of the game. I have truly found my Seoulmate.
Great story and amazing art!
