About Little Miss Lonely

Little Miss Lonely is a game about childhood, fear and the relationships

Little Miss Lonely is a short, narrative driven side-scrolling game where you play a nine year old girl named Robin.
The game takes the player through the memories of a little girl who's life has gone through big changes and how she deals with the fallout.

Story

The house is quiet as Robin rummages through her room searching for her best friend. Tonight is the night where she's been left with the babysitter. Downstairs there is a gentle hum coming from the living room. Inside the TV glows in the darkness, voices can be heard muttering from the speakers.

This game is actually really unique and im surprised that it really has no user reviews. I got it really cheap from a key shop and decided to try it out, it can be relatable with its story being pretty powerful. Probably no one is gonna read this review since this game came out in 2017 but i wanna leave my mark.

First off, I want to thank the developer for the free copy which allowed me to both experience this game and make a full game "Let's Play!" video which can be found on my Youtube channel... (Spoiler warning) I really enjoyed this simple and casual indie game which is really nothing more than a thought provoking and heart wrenching story told from the eyes of a young girl named Robin. I also loved the draw art style which was a very effective method for delivering this all-too-common story in the real world we live in. My suspicion for the lack of reviews more than three months after this game launched is a little bit expensive price tag for a game that can be fully played in under an hour for most people with little to no replay value. There are also no choices or decisions to be made by the player as the game forces you down a very linear story line to tell the intended story. But for what it is, it is very well done, offers very nice art, and delivers an emotional roller coaster ride which made me both laugh and feel sad during the short story time it has. Solid game and I give it a 7.5 out of 10 mostly taken down for a lower value score because the price is a little high …

'Little Miss Lonely is a game about childhood, fear and the relationships.' What's that? The relationships? Are we talking about the slippery slope of navigating relationships in a more general sense? Or are they specific relationships that we are exploring? What could this possibly mean? Judging by the overall efforts of the developers, it would be safer to assume that the wording of the game's official synopsis is neither of the two possibilities. It is a mistake. A small thing to be sure, but this sets the tone for me and I wasn't too surprised by the way I felt as I reached the end of Little Miss Lonely. Suffice it to say, it's not a very good game about childhood, fear, relationships or anything for that matter. It's my understanding that gameplay is not the focus of these kinds of games. Fine. I accept that. The question to consider then is whether Little Miss Lonely offers a worthwhile storytelling experience. Unfortunately, brief flashbacks of a nine year old girl's life as she experiences family breakdown, the death of a grandparent, bullying and so on are not enough to make this an interesting story. Ultimately, I am left to wonder, what does Club Cotton…

A profound game about a 9 year old girl named Robin (Robin Hood) with her optimistic, honest, tenacious, meticulous personality that is implied by this samosa worth game with it's psychological autopsy in social strata. The relentless pacing with this existential dread of a fourth grader is expressed in a very copacetic way. I personally relate to the character present in this philosophical game even after the age of 23. The only difference is that my friends call me Throbbing Hood.

This game tells a story. If you have played Price or The Endless Journey, you'll probably like this. If that's the case then tell me what is going on in here cuz you're probably only one of the few that understands. Specially if you've played Price xD The drawings and art and are nice and pleasing. The voice acting is some kind of mumbling sorta like chinese, but it gives you an impression on the storyflow. Theres nothing much you have to do other than walk around. It's a small game. Not sure if i should be afraid or happy now. O.o
