About Little Miss Lonely

Little Miss Lonely is a game about childhood, fear and the relationships

Little Miss Lonely is a short, narrative driven side-scrolling game where you play a nine year old girl named Robin.
The game takes the player through the memories of a little girl who's life has gone through big changes and how she deals with the fallout.

Story

The house is quiet as Robin rummages through her room searching for her best friend. Tonight is the night where she's been left with the babysitter. Downstairs there is a gentle hum coming from the living room. Inside the TV glows in the darkness, voices can be heard muttering from the speakers.

This game is actually really unique and im surprised that it really has no user reviews. I got it really cheap from a key shop and decided to try it out, it can be relatable with its story being pretty powerful. Probably no one is gonna read this review since this game came out in 2017 but i wanna leave my mark.

'Little Miss Lonely is a game about childhood, fear and the relationships.' What's that? The relationships? Are we talking about the slippery slope of navigating relationships in a more general sense? Or are they specific relationships that we are exploring? What could this possibly mean? Judging by the overall efforts of the developers, it would be safer to assume that the wording of the game's official synopsis is neither of the two possibilities. It is a mistake. A small thing to be sure, but this sets the tone for me and I wasn't too surprised by the way I felt as I reached the end of Little Miss Lonely. Suffice it to say, it's not a very good game about childhood, fear, relationships or anything for that matter. It's my understanding that gameplay is not the focus of these kinds of games. Fine. I accept that. The question to consider then is whether Little Miss Lonely offers a worthwhile storytelling experience. Unfortunately, brief flashbacks of a nine year old girl's life as she experiences family breakdown, the death of a grandparent, bullying and so on are not enough to make this an interesting story. Ultimately, I am left to wonder, what does Club Cotton…

Little Miss Lonely, developed and published by Club Cotton Games, is a narrative-focused indie adventure that tells a heartfelt story through the eyes of a young girl named Robin. Rather than relying on action or complicated mechanics, the game centers on emotion, memory, and the quiet struggles of childhood. It follows Robin during what initially seems like an ordinary evening under the care of a babysitter, but her search for her missing best friend gradually unfolds into a much more personal journey. The game presents its story from a child's perspective, allowing players to experience feelings of confusion, fear, and hope in a way that feels both genuine and relatable. The narrative is the game's greatest strength. Robin's adventure is filled with symbolic moments that reflect the challenges of growing up and coping with emotional hardship. Instead of explaining every detail outright, the story encourages players to interpret its events and discover meaning through the environments and conversations they encounter. This subtle approach creates a more engaging experience, as the emotional impact comes from piecing together Robin's thoughts and memories rather than simply being …

A profound game about a 9 year old girl named Robin (Robin Hood) with her optimistic, honest, tenacious, meticulous personality that is implied by this samosa worth game with it's psychological autopsy in social strata. The relentless pacing with this existential dread of a fourth grader is expressed in a very copacetic way. I personally relate to the character present in this philosophical game even after the age of 23. The only difference is that my friends call me Throbbing Hood.

A very roughly-made, short, depressing tale about a sad little girl. I like the art style and music, and the story is vaguely touching, but as a game it's pretty bad. To begin with, the game doesn't tell you anything about its controls, which are btw WASD for movement, E for interaction. I only realised this after watching someone on youtube struggle with figuring it out. The camera pans with mouse movements, so I thought this was a point-and-click game and tried clicking on and dragging everything on the screen to no avail. Once I could interact with the game, it's basically a linear adventure game with a handful of short puzzles, some timed. The little girl's story is told in little vignettes - some are memories, some are dreamlike. There is some sort of voice acting, but it's all distorted and repetitive, mostly sounds like gibberish, only a few lines sound English. I think I reached the end
when some teddy bears said to each other something like "too bad she didn't find the sweeties"
, then the screen went black, and I got dumped to the main menu. Maybe this was a "bad ending"? Not sure, but the game is rough enough that I don't want to start anothe…
