Melt Them All

I hesitate to recommend this game, because either most of its mechanics don't function, or the tutorial does a very poor job of suggesting to you how they might work. It looks like it could be, at some point, a very interesting blend of a survivor game, a tower defense game, and an automation game. It currently is mostly a survivor game and tower defense game. This game isn't marked as Early Access, but it should be. OTOH, the game is very cheap. And I got it on sale as well. Is it a tower defense and survivor game that's worth $2? Probably. Could it be a better game that's worth $15 or $20? Definitely. If the automation mechanics actually worked, and it had a better way of teaching you how the game worked, and a good artist spruced up the graphics considerably, this could be a very interesting game. Also, I played an hour of this game on the Steam Deck, and I couldn't figure out how to destroy a building. I think I could now that I see that using keyboard and mouse, it's basically what happens if you hold down the rotate button. Very fresh take on the genera with a whole lot of potential. Looking forward to see the growth with the engaged developer!

(This review was edited after the developer fixed some of the issues). I want to like the game. Music is good. Art is good. However, it is a chore to figure out how the automation mechanics work. There is a tutorial, but besides that, there is very little information on things work. I have to do everything manually which defeats the purpose of being advertised as an automation game. The other issue is the progression. Each wave you get a small upgrade of damage, health, energy, or buildings, and the enemies get a little bit more health, maybe speed too. It doesn't change much.

Good Grief, it is only $1.99. I like it, it is different. If you cant afford $1.99 or are going to complain about it, then make it yourself... If you can! And you should probably stop playing games completely because you obviously have severe financial issues!

It's a cool concept, but it's fubared and broken. The drills and grinders are broken and without those all automation that is advertised and possible are broken. I would have to agree with the other negative reviews, this is AI shovelware
