I really wish I would have tried this game right after buying it so that I'd be eligible for a refund. Obviously I didn't get very far, because of one QOL omission - when chopping, mining, etc., you can't just hold down the button and let it work. You have to mash the button repeatedly instead. And the game cycles too slow to keep up with your presses, so only every other one counts. I don't know how a developer could leave such a glaring user hindrance in a game, did they never play it themselves lol?28 found this helpful
really hard to get into, but beyond that, there were just so many bugs. especially visual/very basic bugs. i tried to get into this game, but according to return policy, by ATTEMPTING to find a reason to enjoy it over the course of ~6 hours, that is 4 hours over the limit of their return policy. so now i'm just kind of stuck with this game rotting in my inventory unfortunately19 found this helpful
Bought this game then they dumped it and decided to run with the money and not make anymore updates. Game is not in full status, Now they have a new game they want you to buy called Farming Camp. Do not buy. Finish a game before you try making more money. You know real companies put out updates and sell outfits or small dlc to earn money, you guys just gave. Shame on you. This game could have been good.17 found this helpful
Not as good as its competitors17 found this helpful
Unfortunately, this game could use more time in Early Access. It still feels a bit half-baked. I can't tell if they fixed the save game corruption or not--it wasn't in any patch notes, and they still have the workaround pinned. It's still fairly buggy, though; there's a cutscene I can't get past in the library that freezes the game every time. Some characters end up in inaccessible places, and a lot of the interactions just feel awkward but in a way that doesn't seem intentional. Seems they moved onto a new game, so I'm not confident they're going to address any issues in this one now.15 found this helpful
Orange Season is a farming and life-simulation game that sets out to capture the warmth and routine of rural living while wrapping it in a colorful, nostalgic presentation. Developed by Innerfire Studios and published by SOEDESCO, the game places players in the role of a newcomer who finally fulfills the dream of owning a farm in the small community of Orange Town. From the outset, it presents a familiar promise: a peaceful life shaped by planting crops, caring for animals, exploring the surrounding land, and gradually becoming part of a close-knit village. It clearly draws inspiration from genre staples, aiming to offer a cozy, slow-paced experience built around daily routines and personal growth. The core gameplay revolves around managing your farm and shaping it over time. Clearing land, planting seeds, watering crops, and harvesting produce form the backbone of each in-game day, and these tasks are complemented by secondary activities like fishing, mining, and animal care. The game offers a wide variety of crops and resources, encouraging experimentation and long-term planning as seasons change. On paper, this structure provides a solid foundation, giving players plenty to do …1 found this helpful
