About Scrap Daddies

Grab up to five of your best friends and jump into this co-op looter with quick-paced, high variety, action-packed rounds. Raid underwater bases, collect all the power cells, and use your Scrapsaw to find as much scrap as you can. Level up and use scrap to upgrade your abilities to help you face even harder raids! And the best part? We won't even try to scare you while you fight to save New Tortuga!Select a raid, gear up with your favorite weapons and tools, and head into the depths! Each raid gives you only a short window to locate and deposit the base’s power cells - vital for keeping the lights on in New Tortuga, your home city. Along the way, collect scrap to upgrade your loadout and increase your chances of success in future raids.Use your trusty Scrapsaw to break down objects in the base for valuable scrap. But be careful - time is limited, and every second spent scavenging cuts into the precious minutes you have to find and deposit the power cells. Fail to recover all of them, and you’ll lose every piece of scrap you gathered. Use your time wisely… and try not to get too greedy.Your pack fills fast. Scrap heaps up, space dwindles, and every choice costs time. Return to the sub to stash your haul, or - if you’ve mastered scrap compacting - crush it down into something smaller and far more valuable. Do you hold onto every scrap of profit, or rush back to unload before the clock runs out?Scrappers do better when they stick together. Every raid throws chaos at you - roaring fires, toxic slimes, tentacle creatures, jammed doors, collapsing hallways, and more. The right tools make all the difference. Want to keep the flames under control? Bring a sprayer. Prefer patching up damage as the base tears itself apart? Grab the repair tool. Whatever’s waiting inside, teamwork and preparation are the keys to getting out in one piece.During each raid, you'll earn XP and level up. As you progress, you'll unlock new upgrades for your weapons and tools, as well as powerful skills that enhance your scrapper’s abilities. Customize your loadout and shape your scrapper to match your playstyle.

✦ AI summary

Scrap Daddies receives mixed feedback, with players praising its charming art direction, smooth animations, and intuitive upgrade system, but criticizing significant technical issues including poor controller remapping options, frequent crashes, and unreliable hit detection. While some players appreciate the game's creative foundation and potential, others find the experience hampered by these bugs and lack of clear direction, making it feel unfinished in its current early access state.

After spending roughly three hours with Scrap Daddies in its early release, my overall impression is very positive, with a strong sense that this game has a great foundation and a lot of potential to grow into something special. It’s clear that a lot of time, care, and creativity went into building this world, and I want to start by saying that it genuinely shows. Visually and stylistically, the game is a joy. The art direction and animations are well done, and there’s a lot of charm in the environments. I often found myself wanting to slow down and take in the scenery because the game looks very nice. Controller support also deserves praise playing with a DualSense felt smooth and intuitive, which made jumping in easy. The upgrade system is another strong point, upgrading your scrapper feels satisfying and gives a real sense of progression, which is exactly what you want in a loot driven game. That said, during my first couple of hours, the experience leaned far more toward stressful than enjoyable, especially as a solo player. Enemy balance played a big role in this. Slimes and critters feel extremely punishing early on, both in terms of damage and sheer numbers. I strongly fe…

This game has very poor controller support, all buttons are assigned but cannot be remapped and steam overlay does not function as intended leading to one button having multiple functions instead of replacing the function of the button. This is a MAJOR problem when the usual reload button on most games is assigned to drop your weapon in this game, the game also lacks instruction and feels like it is made out of play doh.

I've been eyeing this game for awhile now but was hesitant because friend slop games tend to be well "Friend slop" lol meaning ya need friends. Took a gamble during the summer sale and picked it up. To my surprise the game ran really good on my Arc B580 at 1440p and the game looks absolutely gorgeous to me! The game is super fun and easy to play but hard to master (especially if you choose the wrong tools lol my first run was a mess XD) and guess what? It's solo friendly! That's a huge win for me! :D From what I seen there are four characters to choose from, all with an alternate skin you can unlock in game using scraps you find. Along with the idea you have a level up system which is for all characters. Every time you level up you have the ability to upgrade your weapons and tools including a backpack that allows you to mix scrap together to make more room in your backpack to lighten the load which is a cool feature! Everything in game can be unlocked using scrap you find. Overall price point wise it's an absolute steal! Def pick it up if you enjoy looting/extraction games with procedural maps and light RPG elements. To me this was a purchase I am absolutely happy with! Only mi…
