I loved the first puzzles. But making the puzzles not only ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ huge, but also with complex mechanics mixed in, it became less solving and more trial and error. Since to get the "Hacker" achievement you had to solve without making a single mistake, I would just try and fail, then screenprint the solution and restart. I liked the story, but having to pause my investigation to waste 30 minutes into a unfun puzzle was kind of a let down.

Sorry, James is a narrative-driven puzzle game that transforms the act of decoding encrypted files into the heart of a gripping psychological thriller. Instead of focusing on combat or exploration, it invites players to step into the shoes of James Garner, a security engineer employed by Mantis Corp., a company known for developing advanced weaponry. His latest assignment appears routine at first: decrypt a collection of protected communications. However, those files gradually reveal an emotional exchange between two strangers, raising an unsettling question about why a powerful corporation would be interested in such personal conversations. This intriguing premise fuels the entire experience, encouraging players to uncover the truth hidden beneath layers of secrecy, deception, and corporate intrigue. The game's storytelling is one of its strongest qualities. Rather than relying on cinematic sequences or traditional dialogue, nearly every revelation comes through recovered messages that players unlock as they progress. This approach places the audience in an active investigative role, requiring careful attention to every conversation, subtle emotional cue, and hidden implication. …

To be honest, this is a pretty interesting game that resembles a thriller. There is some intrigue in the gameplay. There is also a sense of buildup

For a puzzle enjoyer - this is a pretty great one! The mechanics of this rather unique "hacking" puzzle game are really cool - and they do get progressively more complicated. It's something between a picross, sudoku - it's about finding the next "safe" move, and following along. The story layer? It's weird, but interesting and keeps you going? I think it adds some necessary flavour to all of it to keep you going, instead of being just a "dry" collection of puzzles.
