The biggest problem of this game is- It should be a virtual novel rather than a 2D RPG. I spent more than half of the time wandering around, the walking speed is ridiculously slow, scenery is limited which left few to be discovered, with absolutely no challenge at all-Make the whole thing incredibly boring. And you cannot even save whenever you like. The story is more of cliche, if you want some deep thought about life and time, this game shall fail you. Better just read books or search quotes online shall enlighten more. No, I do NOT recommend this game. Not even on a discount price - your TIME is more of value.

Good, Deep Game. Requires patience due to objectives not being overly obvious and the gameplay being tedious. But I cant deny the hours I put in, the overall message is worth the buy in itself. Thank you for all you've done, Thank you for accompanying me here

Like walking through a novel. Loved every minute of it

I gave this game a chance and spent almost 3 hours where I unlocked 6/14 achievements, but I don't enjoy it and have a feeling that the story wouldn't be better. Here are some reasons why I don't enjoy this game, * So far the story is boring with slow pacing and somewhat cliche trope. I'm not invested with the story or any of the characters at all. * The visual looks great at first glance, but has some annoying details including unmatching sprites, some dark areas and weird screen filters/shaders. * Terrible game/level design. While the game shows some hints, I sometimes got lost or walked around many times either because it's designed that way or I missed something. * Rough English translation. While it's good enough to understand the story, it has several writing mistakes and feels rigid/formal. Here are few examples from early game, [list] [*]Fortunate to meet you.. Thank you so much! I enjoyed this, but I do think it could have been shorter. The beginnning and end are strong and it drags in the middle for a while. The story is quite simple and would fill out 2.5-3 hours nicely but ends up taking around 4 hours. The settings are all very detailed and atmospheric. I think some of the middle scenes were bulked out so that the background art wouldn't go to waste. Can't fault a dev for that particularly. The scene where the main characters are waiting in line for the cinema is probably the most superfluous. The dialogue in other scenes could have been shortened without much of a loss in meaning. Overall it was good, but I think many people will lose patience in the middle and not stay through till the end. This is in the style of a more well-known game series (To the Moon, Finding Paradies), which suffered similar narrative issues iirc. If you liked those you will probably enjoy Story About Times.

overall: 6/10 + cozy + unique vibes - boring - clunky translation comment: i have nothing against quiet walking sims or a straightforward relaxed read. the idea of having a visual novel style in the rpg-maker medium is also interesting. this one just did not grab me. go in if you don't expect much.
