I played the first chapter through to a few of the endings. The second chapter defeated me, I couldn't finish. That being said... I really enjoyed this experience. Very creepy world to explore, cute collectibles to find, and a tastefully decorated orphaned room. I recommend headphones for added creepy effect. I encountered no jump scares (well, maybe in one room), and I felt that something was after me in the latter part of the game. Certainly not for the faint-hearted. The second chapter seemed to be more of the same, just more intense. I'll leave that for more skillful players than myself. Not high strangeness, but on the weird side and very atmospheric. If that's your bag, give this one a try.2 found this helpful
Had a surprisingly good time with this one. The atmosphere was probably the strongest part for me. It captures that weird, unsettling Backrooms feeling really well and keeps you curious about what's around the next corner. The environments were nice to explore, and the game did a good job of making me feel uneasy without relying on constant jumpscares. I also didn't run into any bugs or major issues during my playthrough, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything worked as expected, and the experience felt polished enough that I could just focus on the game itself. Overall, it's a pretty solid Backrooms game and one I'd actually recommend to anyone who enjoys this kind of horror.2 found this helpful
cute little game
This game is really good in many different ways
Well worth playing! A good imaginative approach with many interesting new features for this kind of game. Certainly much more appealing (to me) than the very standard run-around-with-your-mates-screaming that so many backroom-type games focus on (no hate, I just feel the liminality is ruined if you're not alone). The dangers are more thought out than the common 'slenderman' approach, making them interesting and avoiding the usual frustrations that style gives. I get the impression it is at least fairly well-optimized, and doesn't waste graphics on the kind of dust or surface rendering detail that adds nothing to gameplay but makes those fans go brrrrr.
