About The Forgotten Village (Demo)
The Forgotten Village is a Fantasy Simulation RPG. Help the Villagers by competing various tasks and Quests ranging from clearing the Land to fixing broken objects. Upon Quest completion you will be rewarded with new Equipment and Tools. Equipment will provide passive bonuses, while Tools will allow you to gather resources more quickly. Use your newly acquired Tools to repair Structures, clear the Land and restore The Forgotten Village back to its former glory!Features
- Gather Resources! Pick up Sticks and chop Trees to gather more Wood. Explore the Cave and begin Mining to acquire Stone and Ore.
- Get Fixing! Once you have enough resources. Use your trusty Hammer to fix objects in the Village. Fixing Objects will always provide you with a reward, even if you don't have an active Quest.
- Quests & Rewards! Good deeds won't go unnoticed. Fixing Objects & completing Villagers' Quests will reward you with new Tools & Equipment.
- Tools & Equipment! Tools will enable you to gather resources more efficiently, while worn Equipment will grant passive bonuses when worn!
- Renown: Fixing Objects & Completing Quests will award renown. Earning Renown will trigger special events such as Mail Rewards or messages from other Villagers.

Really enjoying my time with this one so far. The graphics have a cozy, polished feel that makes exploring the village super relaxing. Gameplay-wise, it’s straightforward in the best way no confusing mechanics or weird systems. You just know what to do, and that makes it really easy to get into. Perfect for when you want something simple but still engaging. Can’t wait to see what the full release brings. There’s a lot of potential here, and I’m already hooked. Definitely keeping an eye on this one. I even went ahead and completed all the achievements [spoiler]Also i like how i can break the very big stone with only 2 hits. but when breaking a medium stone it took longer than 2 hits thats funny. keep that [/spoiler]4 found this helpful
It's a bit harvest moon and a bit animal crossing mix. You have just a few things currently you can do, but it's only been out for almost two weeks.1 found this helpful
"The Forgotten Village (Demo)" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "The Forgotten Village". The Forgotten Village is an unfinished tech demo from an attempt to make some kind of indie game studio... and based on how badly this advert failed, it's likely they imploded immediately after. Should have saved the $100 Steam Direct fee for a few drinks at the pub instead. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not The Forgotten Village, it's just an advertisment for it (and their game studio), so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "The Forgotten Village (Demo)" too. Very fun demo, though a little to short in my opinion, it left me wanting more :) Game is very easy to learn and super chill. There could be a few more styles in the customisation in all honesty . Looking forward to what comes with the full release.
