Really enjoyed the roguelike elements and the level of challenge. It’s surprisingly addictive and always leaves you wanting one more run!
Angles don't help your shots
If you like cozy games, this is the one. Up To Par has a super relaxing vibe that makes it easy to enjoy whether you are playing solo or with a couple of friends at your own pace. The levels have just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting, but nothing that feels stressful or rushed. And those cute skins are definitely a bonus. It is the kind of game you can sink into for a while, laugh with friends, and still feel totally relaxed.
love this game so far and happy to support small devs but wow $20 is steep for this. even on sale at $16 is asking a lot. I feel like the price is really holding this game back from selling well.
I really wanted to like this game, it has good visuals, and overall vibe. But, there are some problems that kill all the fun for me. 1. Controls are frankly not great, and physics is a bit off. This makes it much harder to hit the way you want to. 2. You are only given 3 shots per hole, and at the beginning its already a little challenging, but the holes only get harder and harder. You cleared 15 holes, but then didn't clear hole 16 in 3 shots? Start over from hole number one! 3. There is a system of upgrades that will help you along the way, so we can unlock those, right? Wrong, the upgrades you can buy only using excess shots you have not used before. Eg. if you cleared 7 holes in 19 shots instead of 21, you have 2 shots you can spend in shop. But most useful upgrades cost way more than that. So you either have to be really good at the game, or you have to grind easy levels all the time, and it's not fun. 4. Combine the above, and you have frustration when you can't complete a course that feels like supposed to be easy. You cannot buy upgrades in shop. You cant get used to game physics, and test how the ball behaves, because each shot is too valuable. To the point that it feels l…
I'm disappointed. In concept this is a fun game and I like the idea, but it's way overpriced. The physics act very strangely, whether intentional or not, they feel unintuitive. The game "soft crashed" on me multiple times. Again, it's a fun idea but with the current scale of the game and the various issues that it has, there is no way to justify the asking price. I'm going to ask for a refund. This is a $5, maybe $10 maximum experience.
