About Par for the Dungeon

Golf is boring, Par is different. Join Cal as they battle and chase down the treacherous and dog-napping Bogeys. Putt, explode and fight with everything from grapple hooks to laser beams and conquer over 100 increasingly puzzling levels!
Just like regular golf, the goal is to get Cal into each level’s hole in as few moves as possible. Analyze and overcome bizarre obstacles, dial in your shot power, and send Cal flying!

Hordes of Bogeys patrol each level, their mere presence locking down holes. Set up bounce chains, arm deadly traps and use an arsenal of items to get the upper hand!

Explore quaint towns, snowy crypts, fungal forests and more as you travel through the utterly unique worlds of Par. Mastering mechanics and beating levels in as few moves as possible ranks you up, unlocking new challenges and outfits for Cal.
Short And Cute Mini-golf Game

Things I Like About Par For The Dungeon:
Level-based Golfing Adventure

Every level is an interesting puzzle to solve. You think to about how to defeat all the enemies and reach the goal with the least amount of moves. Aim your trajectory, find the right angle, and set yourself loose with the crushing force.
Each region also introduces new enemies and new items: spiky ones, moving ones, even those riding trains require you to work around their weaknesses and time your shot well; Items are your best problem solver. You can purchase them with the coins you collected on the field, and they don't count towards your moves. Master the items is key to earning the perfect score.
Take advantage of the weird angles and quirky physics! Hold your coins as long as possible for easier third stages! Rescue your cute puppy from all the bad bogies!
Tons of cosmetic to unlock.

Things I Dislike About Par For The Dungeon:
Minor Complaints

There should be a region(or multiple) in which you can use multiple, different items at a time. It would be interesting to see how the items interact with e…
A lightweight golf-themed puzzle game with just the right amount of adventuring added for extra flair.
In Par for the Dungeon you play as a heroic golf ball on a quest to save his golf ball dog (?!) from a bunch of mech-suited bad guys. Shoot yourself through mazes with environmental puzzles on your way to free your fluffy companion, all while gathering sweet loot along the way. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3526519227 The gameplay is basically choose a direction, add the right amount of force to the shot and see your little guy barrel away into the distance with abandon! On your quest you get a few upgrades (of Legend of Zelda shame) such as the mighty hookshot, a bow and a fair supply of bombs. The artwork is just right for this silly and lightweight adventure and the gameplay is placed right in that sweet spot of easy to learn, hard to master. You do need to get at least a few stars unlocked from each map to progress in the adventure, but it never felt unfair or overtly challenging, a Dark Souls of golf games this is not.. You also get to lock up a varied assortment of cosmetics by playing the game, and all in all this feels like a polished li…

I enjoyed golfing without the stress! It is hard at times but not nearly as hard as it is in between easy and hard. 8/10

Par for the Dungeon is a unique blend of mini-golf mechanics and dungeon-crawling elements. Players take on the role of Cal, a sentient golf ball, on a quest to rescue his kidnapped dog, Cerby, from the mischievous Bogeys. The game offers over 100 levels across four distinct biomes, each introducing new challenges and mechanics. Pros: - Innovative Gameplay Fusion: The combination of mini-golf precision and dungeon-crawling strategy creates a refreshing and engaging experience. - Challenging Level Design: Each level presents unique obstacles and enemies, requiring players to think critically and plan their shots carefully. - Charming Aesthetics and Soundtrack: The game's cartoony visuals and delightful music enhance the overall experience, making it both visually and audibly appealing. Cons: - Monetization Concerns: The presence of microtransactions, particularly for retries and special outfits, may detract from the experience for some players. -Occasional Level Frustration: Certain levels may feel unfair due to precise angles required, potentially leading to player frustration. - Limited Replay Incentives: While collecting crowns and stars unlocks outfits, some players may f…

Fun little game! I completed it with all achievements in under 4 hours, so that will tell you the size of the game, but it is fun, cute, and clean! I followed along with the devlogs on YouTube while this game was being made and I'm excited to play whatever is next from Sleeping Giant :)

This was a fun puzzle game with a unique twist on mini golf. The puzzles had some difficulty, but not too much. The art style and story were fun and overall the game was very polished. The devlogs for this game were also very fun to watch. A bit of constructive feedback: I would have liked to see some harder puzzles, maybe that layered some of the mechanics from world to world. Right when getting used to the arrows for example they are gone and replaced with something else in the next world. Might be an opportunity there in the future. Also would be nice to be able to reset whenever, not just once whenever and anytime at the end of a level. On a few levels you can also block yourself from finishing if you aren't careful and need to restart the whole course. There were a few times I wished the camera didn't reset after dragging for longer shots. I realized later on you can hold the drag with your shot, but it's not ideal even though it works.
