Sweet childhood memories. I still remember many of the maps by heart. NGL, the difficulty is so unforgiving, from the cheating ai to the weird checkpoint placements. Good thing is you barely get panelized for cutting corners. At times I think the developer was trolling. It's mind-boggling that the game still has an active esoteric community two decades later, I guess the huge car roster and large open maps is enough of a reason for people to keeping coming back.28 found this helpful

The traffic elements, planes flying in the sky, hot air balloons, etc. Personally, this reminds me of the good old Test Drive Unlimited. [h1] AI - An absolute nightmare [/h1] I've played many racing games in my life, but the bots here are completely unfair toward the player. No matter how hard you try, winning against them isn't just difficult, it's nearly impossible. Yes, not in all races, but there are several brutally unfair events where even 10 attempts won't be enough - and you're left relying purely on luck. [h1] On rails...? [/h1] Yes - this is one of the most annoying elements in the game! If you've played it, you know exactly what I mean. [b]Let me explain:[/b] The bots drive as if they're on rails, no matter the speed. nostalgia
I played World Racing 2 Demo, the one that had only Italy, Golf MK1, Golf MK5 and Touareg... The physics are very surprisingly complex and engaging, it's a pleasure to drive here. Also the open world teleports is the best feature ever, it's amazing to jump off the castle in Italy in Joyride mode...
