About World Racing '95
Inspired by arcade racing games from the 90's comes World Racing '95. Race across a variety of locations against tough AI opponents or a friend in local split-screen action. Whether you want a quick challenge in Arcade Mode or you want to sink hours into Story Mode, there's something here to scratch your classic racing itch.
Arcade Mode
Compete in a single race across a variety of locations against the CPU or a friend. Whether you find yourself racing on sand, snow or even in space, mastery will be required to obtain gold.
Story Mode
Enter the World championships as a newcomer and take on 30 unique missions as you uncover the mysteries of the league's top racer.
95 Mode
94 other racers crowd massive tracks, can you weave through the masses and finish on top?
X-Country
Drive across an enormous highway covering a variety of different locations, choosing which paths to take as you hit checkpoints and attempt to get to a finish-line (whatever one that may be).
Survival
A perfect place to practice your driving. No other vehicles, pass checkpoints to extend your playtime, it's just you against the clock.

-Weird hover car on ice driving/sliding feel that eventually becomes boring, slow, uneventful gameplay once you get used to it. -Car sometimes 360 spins in place when hitting other cars. -No options whatsoever, no way to change controls. Only manual gears. No Pause button. -Lengthy fade in/out between menu screens. -Speedometer/Gears display on left side instead of right like in every other racing game. -Unknown save file location in case you want to save unlocks and progress for future use or between PCs. -Pointless annoying tune plays after every checkpoint which makes it sound like there's music fading in and out constantly. -Linear career mode were you'll get stuck on the dumb and annoying mini-games such as the road being invisible or hitting enough snowmen before time runs out instead of actual racing.2 found this helpful

Visually, WR95 is somewhat similar to Virtua Racing Deluxe on 32X. I wouldn't say it plays anywhere near as well as that game, but the driving mechanics are still decent. Collision penalties are the biggest issue right now, but the developer has promised to improve that aspect of the game in a later update. All-in-all, it's a nice little throwback arcade racer with a very palatable price tag. Update: Collision penalties have been reduced. A Game. Like its from 1995. But it lacks a lot of Motion in the Parallel Scrolling sector. And there should be a setting for setting up the controll inputs <3
Unsure if I should recommend this game or not. I want to recommend it, but I also don't. The lack of music is strange. It feels like an homage to Virtua Racer's lack of music and it feels odd. If you are into realistic racers you probably won't like this game. If you are into quirky, Japanese racers with fake physics, the lack of music will feel strange. Its a shame cause this game could have been pretty good, but the dev made some strange design choices. At least it seems like an actual game and not Unity asset flip shovelware that seems to be flooding the store. I put thumbs up simply because there appears to be no neutral option.
