Neon Horizon: Eclipse

Bright visuals and tight gameplay make this a great bargain at $8. The zombies are interesting enough and the environmental platforming is great. There is obviously a lot of effort poured into the level design. While I didn't care for this dev's first game, I really like this one. Don’t even know how to describe Neon Horizon Eclipse. There’s no story, just select one of the eight stages and try to get to the end by shooting zombies and buying abilities. - The only real goal you can aim for is points that earn you stars at the end. You earn points by killing zombies and lose them by dying. - Your only weapon is a machine gun that fires an unlimited amount of single rounds. Be prepared for a lot of button mashing. Exploding rounds and shotgun ammo are the other two forms of ammunition, but you won’t be seeing much of those because it’s hard to get them. It looks like the gun's precision is always 100 percent; you'll hit an enemy in the distance if you aim at it. - Stages are linear and made out of mostly empty islands that may contain zombies to fight, traps that demand skillful platforming, or a chest that can be opened. Despite the addition of a few new things here and there, the stages appear to be too similar. - The overall feel of the game is carnival or funfair, every stage's design is vibrant and colorful, almost cartoonish.
