Popcorn Popstars is a rhythm autobattler where the battlefield is a blockbuster movie and your squad are its stars. Build a team of three trope-powered heroes and keep the beat alive to win the fight as well as the hearts of the crowd. Every fight scene starts with a good beat - and if you can't keep yours, your heroes won't stand a chance.Tap the drums in perfect tempo to fuel your squad's energy. Every henchman defeated earns more and more cheers, earning you Hype coins.Spend your hard-earned Hype coins on posters, merch and lunchboxes to recruit new stars, upgrading your teams synergy and unlocking prime-time potential. Find similarities where you didn't think they exist. Maybe King Arthur and A red Sentai hero make up a powerful duo? Don't just typecast your heroes. Use limited-edition merch cards to expand their range and experiment with new character dynamics. Who is the say your chivalrous knight can't also be a marksman? Every run is a fresh casting call, letting you retool your trio, remix old favorites, and chase weird new synergies you never thought would work. No hero is stuck in one role, and no build is off the table if you’re willing to push your range. Every star deserves to shine, but some do more than others. Every run has you selecting a Protagonist. A unit that gets just a little more focus and juice to steal the spotlight. Any unit can be a protagonist, but each movie only has one at a time. This doesn't mean your supporting teammates don't get their hype moments. Charge up spectacular spotlight attacks - cinematic bursts of power where your chosen hero steals the scene. Time the right to turn the tide, interrupt enemies plans, or just show off in front of a roaring crowd.

Game breaks after playing two levels. Happens in the tutorial, happens in the main game. The level ends but the ending screen never appears. That said, the main mechanic of rhythm is simply tapping W with each beat. You can use a special which gives you a separate rhythm and that seems to be it. No variety. Super cute rhythm deck building game that has so much potential!! Different factions/types of characters to chose from, synergies between them, you can mix and match to your heart's content! Excited to see where this is going !
