Arevoatl Seven Coins

I have mixed feelings about this game. You get a cryptic letter from your grandfather who goes missing and you try to track him down. You go through his house room by room searching for clues. I play many HOGs and feel this is more a point and click adventure as you wander around a lot hunting for objects. You mainly look for icons, masks and jugs throughout the mansion. It felt like a scavenger hunt at times searching through boxes, barrels and suitcases. A few mini-games are thrown into the mix, but are fairly easy. I got stuck on the rings on the Treasury door, but finally broke through. I found the footsteps of the person overly loud, music was minimal and there were no voiceovers. Graphics are adequate with an 'old' feel to them. There was a hint button which charged every 7 minutes which was far too long. Overall the game was easy and I got 100% of the achievements which is rare for me. Good effort for first game for the developer. Price reasonable as it took me 6 hours to complete. 7/10

Pretty good first person hidden object puzzle game, especially for the very low asked price. Tho some of the stuff is way too well hidden. Also I was stuck for like an hour because I needed a safe combination, then I gave up, checked a video and it turned out it was in a drawer I already checked. Well guess what it was way too dark there to be able to see anything in a drawer. This is the biggest problem the game has: most of the stuff isn't hard to find, but you need to find everything to progress and some of the stuff is just too well hidden. There is also a clue function which basically reveals the outline of objects near you, even through walls. But this clue function needs like 7 minutes to recharge which is just way too much and sometimes it doesn't even help, like when I needed that save combination because the paper with the code is not an item to collect it isn't shown when using the clue function.

Avevoatl Seven Coins is advertised as a first-person puzzle/hidden object game, but that might be stretching it a bit. It's unlike any hidden object game I've ever seen, not only because it uses first-person perspective, but also because the objects aren't hidden in the traditional sense. There are no scenes of jumbled objects requiring you to find a list of specific items. What you have, instead, is a group of 8 areas, and in each area, you need to collect certain objects, usually 10 qty each of 3 to 6 items. Most of these items are in plain sight, but some are "hidden" in boxes, barrels, and bags. You simply click on the box, barrel, or bag to open it and see what's inside. Once you collect the required items, you are shown a picture which leads you to another area or directs you on what to do next, sometimes requiring you to find additional items. As is typical in hidden adventure games, in most cases, you cannot pick up these additional items until you "know" you need them (when you see the picture); prior to that, the icon does not change to a hand and you cannot pick up the additional items. interesting game. sadly no walkthroughs ,,when your done playing game and want to replay the coins and statues are automatically reappear. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling game and cleaning out cache to no avail. I tried going into any file i could and cant find " arevoatl games" so it seems like there is no way to start over from scratch and play a new game.

No hints or any other way to know where required objects might be.

Enjoyable "Easter egg" hunt. Nice music. Overall, relaxing. Inexpensive fun on a regular day. On sale now for a buck.
