The House of Da Vinci

It's not so much hard as it is just plain tedious. Shortly after the start levels, most of the time you're just left to try bunch of random combinations without any kinds of hints on what the solution might be. This means most of the time after you have solved a non logical puzzle, you're greeted with a new non-logical puzzle right after it. So this is just rinse and repeating trying random combinations in various different puzzles and that is not very pleasant after awhile. Good example of well done point&click game series is The Room franchise. They offer challenge, are always fair and have logic in them so that youre not left out to try figure the solution from one of worlds many possibilities.

It's okay. Nothing amazing. Controlling the camera and various pieces of a puzzle can be frustrating. But the atmosphere is great, and some of the puzzles are genuinely cool!

Thank you for the enhanced version. Wish you would of fixed that infruriating and illogical boiler room puzzles. I enjoyed the entire game and leave annoyed because the last puzzles are awful. Good game still.

controls are a bit jank but all of the puzzles are telegraphed somewhere and you never have to go far to find the relevant solution....even if it's solid at the end

I purchased this game while it was deeply on sale and about the cost of an order of fries. I wish I had gotten the fries. To be fair, half of the problems with the game stem from the fact that it was obviously designed to be played on a tablet. The port does not provide proper affordance for desktop play and we continuously ran into issues between the exactness of a mouse versus the fuzziness of a touch control. Hit boxes often failed to register and, out of my ten hours of play time, at least an hour of that was spent on puzzles where I had identified the correct solution, but buggy hitboxes were preventing the parts from moving into the correct place, convincing me that it was impossible to achieve exactly what I was meant to be doing. Granted, even on tablet, there is very little plot tying the puzzles together. While these types of puzzle games will never have as dense of a narrative as something like Baldur's Gate, a good puzzle game can tell you a great deal about the world that your in through the puzzles themselves. This is a very interesting game which will try your patience but finally reward you as the puzzles get solved. The help system got me through all but one situation. I recommend this game to puzzle solving gamers.
