About Comrades and Barons: Solitaire of Bloody 1919
The Great War has ended, but Europe is still being shaken by the political turmoil. Empires fall, socialist movements rise, new national states emerge on the ruins of the old world.
In the very end of the year 1918 the army of Soviet Russia attempts an offensive towards west. Their goal is to spark a communist uprising, that will start from eastern Germany and eventually consume entire Europe.
Relive events of the year 1919 and fight through enemy cards in six historical scenarios spanning from December 1918 to January 1920.
I have developed Comrades and Barons: Solitaire of Bloody 1919 as my first game. With the exception of music, I have made every aspect of it, including the art.
This game is made on GameMaker: Studio 1.4. If you find any bugs in the game, feel free to report them to me.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you find my game entertaining and challenging.

Well, this one is different, for sure. Rather grim subject matter- war is always grim Play the cards and don't read the texts beyond the tutorial pop-ups, I guess? It's not a "pretty, fluffy, colorful" game, but the art is appropriate and feels right. So far it's not bad- the mechanics are fairly basic and easy to understand. Replay hands until you win them to get the "Clear all tables" achievements for each location- if you skip to the next hand (table) without winning (clearing) the table- you will have to replay the entire set of 10 tables again to get that achievement- there is no way to select tables to replay. Once you've beaten the entire first scenario, the first location is basically a tutorial set of only 3 hands- short, and over quickly, and you can generally win them all without spending any points to buy helper cards. Complete that entire scenario of 4 locations, and later on you can go back and replay the first location over and over and over to rack up points to be able to have lots to spend on the tougher scenarios ahead, where the helper cards cost more, and you'll need to buy multiple helper cards to get through all 10 tables. Only real drawbacks are- No save s…8 found this helpful
Great solitaire game with solid post-WW1 interwar historical theming. Good game mechanics too, with twists on traditional solitaire that makes for a fun and decent challenge.2 found this helpful
A fine solitaire with an interesting historical background. Would recommend.
Cool nd fun game 2 play :)
Loved this one. I almost want to call it a "casual wargame". The twists on solitaire made it fun and interesting to chain combos, but the randomness could be a little frustrating. Plenty of content, easy pick up and play.
A nice game of solitaire with a setting that really needs more exposure in common consciousness. At first I was rather unsure whether or not allowing the player to replay tables unlimited times was a good idea in terms of difficulty but the later scenarios I found to be nigh impossible to win without this feature.
