Disintegration

I am conflicted about this game. On one side, its a fun and interesting First-Person-Strategy, on other side, it has flaws and bugs that turn playing into frustration. Goods: + you can revisit missions later, so no stressing over missed collectibles + there is enough upgrade points to max all your stats, so don't sweat it. + you get to play as robot in team of robots. + Kudos for devs for locking one of the units from being upgraded. It was quite obvious "why", so it spoils the story a bit, but still my thanks for saving us frustration of 'wasting' points. + the game did not crash on me once. Bads - No way to pick your equipment or team. Your vehicle gets "random" loadout (fixed per mission) and you can't even see what you will be working with until you start the mission. You can't pick who to take either - I understand locking some store-required charcters in, but having every mission with random cast "because I say so" is annoying. Especially when you just spent points upgrading your unit and it gets switched out forever to never be seen. - landmines are stupid. several units will just throw landmines that can take out your whole team. your units can't see them an…

I really wanted to like this game. The shooting is not bad and the flying isn't too sluggish. The squad controls are passable. Squad members' unique skills can be fun to mix and use. But oh my god, it's BORING after 2 minutes.

This is not the worst game I have played and that is about the best thing I can say about Disintegratation. While maybe fun to start with the game has nothing worth keeping you engaged, the story is ok, the gravbike is slow at best which in itself is a kicker a game about a dude on a gravbike and somehow its almost the worst aspect, the weapons would have been at least nice if they were more akin to Titanfall 2 but instead a weapon set are mission bound resulting in weapons that you never want to use being forced the entire level, and you companion ai is borderline worthless I would rather trust a wet fart.
