I'm a 15 year old solo developer from Sweden, and this is my passion project I've been working on for about 1.5 years. It's a very personal game, with almost every tiny detail having its own little story to tell. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed creating it :)

It is a swap-the-character-you-control game while trying to escape some alien ship. Pretty corny "humor" and overall weak writing. The low key graphic makes it worse, the quality is just not convincing. If the writing wasn't so groan-worthy the other parts wouldn't matter so much I guess but as it is, this is unfortunately lacking talent.

This is a charming puzzle game that will sometimes stump you, but usually everything is quite clear. I haven't finished the game yet, but I loved it from the first moment the game started, and I'm still loving it after several hours. Unlike other reviews, I find the controls are absolutely fine, and have had no trouble getting around. The plot and writing is minimal, and if you don't like puns you'll be groaning, but I like puns, and this game doesn't need more than minimal writing. YMMV. The art is basic, but having grown up in the 80s and 90s, I don't care about graphics as long as the gameplay is good. Everything about this game is charming. It's not perfect, but perfection is the enemy of good. This game is GOOD!

Negatives: 1. Had to rebind my controls twice when I first started (bound them, scene changed and they'd reverted to default), but once I'd quit and started the game back the controls stayed. Probably just an issue with when the gave saves your controls? 2. Walljumps frustrated me. (You have to hold toward the wall until you jump, and then immediately hold away; I believe most games cancel or delay your "toward" press as soon as you walljump which makes it easier to perform? Not sure, but something about the walljumps gave me trouble.) 3. Sometimes got confused about which character was selected (an indicator directly on or around their sprite, or perhaps a HUD element showing who's currently selected, would help). The "ghostly swoosh" that moves between them does help, but if they are close together or you're switching fast, it would be easier to know directly. (Another option would be adding bindings for 1–3 to switch directly to them.) Positives: 1. Fun humor, empathetic characters, decent puzzles, and variety in its gameplay. 2. Mostly open-world where you get to explore and find your way. 3. Forgiving of mistakes. If you mess up, you don't lose much progress. 4. Good use of f…

Escape from Life Inc is a surprisingly great puzzle platformer. The puzzles make good use of the character abilities and switching mechanics, sometimes in some very clever ways. I never found them terribly difficult, but I really like puzzles, so that might just be me. The platforming in the game is by and large quite easy (it is a puzzle platformer after all). It seems other people reviewing this game had some difficulty with "floaty" controls, but by and large, I found the controls easy to use, with only the expected limitations (you can't wall jump repeatedly to climb a wall for example). I imagine finding some all of the secret fruits and all of the animals could be a bit tricky, but I'm the kind of person who fully explores every room I enter, so it wasn't so bad for me. A 100% run took me about three hours, so it's a good game to play across two or three sittings. I could see it taking four or so if you have a harder time with any of the gameplay. There's some stealth and combat sections too, which weren't as strong as the main platforming, but by and large, I enjoyed them as well (and the final fight did a good job making use of all three of the characters). The writing w…

I was sent a copy of this game specifically to Let's Play it and I ended up having a lot of fun. It's structured a little bit like a Metroidvania, but you play as three separate characters and it's focused more around puzzle solving and exploration than combat. It's a good time if you're into that kind of thing. Here's a link to my playthrough if you'd like more in-depth opinions about the game.
