Mechanic Escape is a platformer, a challenging platformer, which also needs you to be a bit rhytmical. It has 80 levels that you need to run through, and you need to do it fast, because aside from struggling with the platform elements, you also have to continuosuly escape from chasing you machines. The 80 levels I mentioned are placed in 4 different worlds. And of course each has different obstacles that you have to deal with. On your journey you can unlock some outfits. Given that there’s the struggle with platforming and being chased by enemies, you’ll be losing lives for sure. And I remember there being a level where the machine chasing you would be able to go through a wall (bug or feature?) and cut your way off, which really forced a perfect run. Overall though. Despite giving some raging moments, it is a fun game. Even for someone who doesn’t play a lot of platformers. All in all, for it’s price it’s worth getting. I played Mechanic Escape years ago on my YouTube channel. Soi if you’re curious about someone else’s experience with the game, or just want to see someone getting annoyed, or to see that bug I mentioned, feel free to check out my [url=https://www.y…

Mechanic Escape is a fast-paced 2D platformer developed by Slak Games and published by Plug In Digital. The game belongs to a category of platformers often described as “hardcore” or “die-and-retry” titles, where success depends on precision, reflexes, and learning through repeated attempts. Rather than focusing on narrative depth or combat systems, the experience centers on relentless momentum and obstacle navigation. It delivers a style of gameplay that emphasizes speed and quick reactions, creating an intense platforming challenge designed to test the player’s coordination and patience. The story is deliberately simple and primarily serves as a thematic backdrop for the gameplay. Players control a small robot named Mech whose body resembles an old CRT television set. In a mechanical world where obsolete technology is hunted down and destroyed, Mech and his fellow television-headed machines are attempting to escape extinction. Giant robotic hunters pursue them through industrial landscapes filled with dangerous machinery, forcing Mech to run, jump, and climb through increasingly hostile environments. The narrative is communicated through visual cues and environmental design rath…

A nice and precise old-fashioned platformer. Maybe a little bare bones in terms of presentation, but it's pleasant enough.

Decent speed run platformer. 6/10

when on the ground the game feels mostly responsive, but for a platformer where you are majority of the time being chased jumping feels awful; your character looses momentum very slowly, but also falls slowly, so small corrections always end up being too much. The character also magnetizes to walls from almost half a character width, and wall jump overrides double jump, so I died more often from the character clinging to a wall when I wanted to double jump onto the ledge then from the "boss" that was chasing me. the skin unlocks all happen by the time you unlock "world" 2, and all the achievements can be completed in "world" 2 (nothing for completing anything specific, and everything is "interact with machanic X times" or "play for 4 hours" There are trading cards...
