I feel like the game could've used some more horror aspects like maybe instead of just hearts, maybe there would be limbs, or heads, and maybe a person at the center that the machine keeps alive, or you slowly build a REAL monster/almalgamation where it's a bunch of people forcefully melded together. If i think of this game as one of those phone app games, or a arcade game where all i have to do is see how high of a score i can get. It's not bad. But I just don't feel joy, or anything really that compels me to keep playing. In short. If you want a puzzle game where you try to make a giant "Almalgamation" then this is the game for you. I won't downvote it, but I gotta say I think it COULD be better in some aspects.1 found this helpful
very cool game easy to understand and simple goal, familiar puzzle concepts introduced in a refreshing and new way also there is meat, a lot of meat
DO TRY THE GAME OUT! Yes, I know, I'm not recommending something and start by telling you to try it. I'll try to elaborate on the situation. In this game I am VERY on the fence but ultimately chose not recommended due to being irked by more stuff than awed. Modularity is a "meditative" (Lets be honest if you meditate to stuff like what's in this videogame, you might want to seek therapy or something you freaky bugger...) simple time killer "puzzle" game that sadly isn't too well optimized for it's gameplay loop.
The Good:
The game is very small at just over 200 MB and is completely free. -Hence why I recommend you to try it for yourself. By the time you read through reviews to determine if you'd like it or not you could have already tried it out and know for yourself. The theme is also "unusual". (Quotes because there are certainly games of this occult/grotesque type if you look for them. But it's generally a niche you don't see often outside of it.) even though not much is done with it.
The Bad:
The absolutely worst thing about this game is it's optimization. After playing for a bit, the game would become stuttery on every viewpoint move…
Not really my cup of tea but i'm sure someone would enjoy it if they like this kind of thing. Still a positive rating since its an interesting concept
completely uses vram even with a forced fps limit of 120. also the gameplay is very heavily reliant on getting good rng and is overall not very interesting. good concept, needs work
Neat but shallow
