About Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals

Set in France in the year 2023, the country is governed by a dictator who rules by absolute religious power. A mysterious ship shaped like a pyramid has just appeared in the sky and sent representatives to speak with the French government.

As Nikopol, you will find yourself in a suspenseful adventure to find your father and thwart a dangerous conspiracy. Entangled in political intrigue, you're caught between two worlds, one of anarchy and one of immortality.

Crazy that this game is now set in the past.

The art is decent for a 2008 game, but that’s its only strength. Puzzles are frustrating, with tiny hitboxes and illogical sequences that make the experience more irritating than enjoyable.

This is one of those times when style wins over substance. Visually, even if dated, the game is pretty good, and the soundtrack doesn't feel grating either. As for the negatives, there are timed sections where you need to think fast, but the game may not give a proper indication of what's expected of you. The first part of the game features a particularly bad example of that. Also, sometimes you will encounter a rare case of moon logic, where a walkthrough will be a must. With all that said, the game is mercifully short, as I was able to complete it in 3 hours, and I expect the average play time may be around the same for everyone.

It's a pretty good adventure game. The story is interesting and the whole cyberpunk atmosphere gives it a nice vibe. The animations and cutscenes enhance the experience a bit more and the puzzles are decent.

Broken. If I try to use chains to block one door - it is OK, but it doesn't work on the same door in another place in moment of rush. If I take some item so early before it supposed to be used, I have a broken game. Instead of the game I'll better buy the artbook... But it doesn't exist, at least in Steam.

Steam tells me that I played this game for 68.8 hours over 10 years ago. So... I guess I liked it?
