I don't know how anyone can say something negative about this cute little adventure. Unless you're Eddy Scissorhands. Because the young woman you play as, goes about solving all problems... with paper. And not just any paper, but those big old foolscap sheets you remember from school. Who would have thought life's challenges could be overcome by paper. But here it is, Paper Girl showing you how. She got the power, and I'm inspired. This is good stuff, if you were to call anything digital "good".

I do not understand why they posted a movie on Steam and called it a game. Were they hoping for more engagement instead of trying to beat Youtube’s algorithm? To see if there would be a market for games like Pepa? Then why release it for free? To show off their progress then and get people hooked onto their stuff would be the most obvious answer to all of my questions, I suppose. Well, it failed because very few people are interested in playing a game with stiff animation and gameplay where you literally click to make things happen. The people that are looking for a free timewaster want a bit more than this creator thinks they do. Do anything else than play this so-called game. You will have a more efficient use of your time and more enjoyment than clicking-clacking through someone’s art project.

"Pepa's Adventure" is a simple, short tech demo, a barely interactive presentation with some "papercut" hand drawn art assets and very little else going for it. You know, when you see a game and think, "That could have been a Youtube video"? That's what's going on here. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 12…

A wordless story. Beautiful art; in retrospect, the title might be interpreted as "Paper Adventure" based on the experience I had. This game was available for free, so I'm willing to tolerate minor difficulties with figuring out how to proceed. There is no tutorial, but once I realized it was linear, I just clicked things until something happenned, and then I was able to play the whole game in about 20 minutes. But again, for the price point of no money at all? The artwork was pleasant. The story progression was mostly understandable. I will recommend it.

Very short. I wouldn't call this a game. It's just an interactive animation. It's pretty but it has some very annoying sound effects, like the squeaking sound that occurs as the main character walks. Also it's very slow and not intuitive - there's no indicators as to where you should click and when, so you just click until something happens.
