Juegazo tactico con una narrativa y estética brutal! El sistema de combate y personalizacion de personajes estan super bien logrados. El unico problema con el que me he cruzado ha sido los controles del mando, he acabado jugando con teclado y ratón.1 found this helpful
[[[STEAMDECK review]]] This game is a soon to be gem! Delivering on the artisan level art that they promised since the Kickstarter. And listening to the community feedback from the demo and test runs. (I myself complained about a confusing highlight in the UI that I'm happy to see fixed now in the early access) Granted that there are still rough edges to work on, but from that pressure you get a polished diamond As of Day 3 of early access: To improve: - In battle navigation is clunky, the system revolves around the arrows system and sticks to character paths even when you try to aim your skills. Takes a bit to get the hang of it as it is not very intuitive. (add maybe a joystick mouse like navigation?) The good: - A very solid tactical game, very fun to plan your positioning and very satisfying to use skills, attacks and different heroes. - The story, characters and script sucks you in and makes you immediately invested in the story (I get why some people are annoyed when the game just ends without resolution, we want to know!. BUT IT IS AN EARLY ACCESS FOLKS) The great: - The ART. Those splash arts are simply gorgeous, even generic enemy grunts look incredibly stylized and co…1 found this helpful
The good: - Art style is beautiful to look at. - The story has some potentials. The bad: - Story telling needs some improvements. Right now reading thru the dialogues makes me doze off so easily. - Combat is not engaging and challenging enough based on my first few hours with the game. There were not much tactics involved. All I did was using the best skills each characters has until all enemies die. - UI is still every basic and lacking of qol features, such as comparing forgeable gears in the shop with the ones I'm currently equipped. I'm still recommending the game but right now I will stop and wait for the full release so I can get the game on Switch
The Art style is great but other than that it seems to be a very flawed and badly designed game, the controls feel clunky, even for controller which it was clearly designed for. You can go back to old school games from the PS1 era like final fantasy tactics or front mission series and those controls will feel superior. Example being elevated areas can only be reached by following a path to it, even to simply check if you can aim a ranged character at the elevated target. The map is way too zoomed in which forces alot of steering the camera to look around, the UI takes up too much of the screen. Now lets get to the actual mechanics, basic combat seems fine, skills costing points, beyond doing a basic attack, you can choose to save a point to defend, which defending is almost always necessary during early game, The UI for crafting is abysmal, you cannot examine your parties current loadout whilst at the forge, forcing you to leave the town just to check something, so it expect to do a lot of exiting and entering town, a simple compare option or a tab to view should be standard is not. The world map also suffers from being too zoomed in, making it awkward to navigate, found mysel…
Fun game, positional strategy involved, recommended. I dunno where the complaints come from "unstable camera" or "janky controllers". It's pretty obvious who you're hitting/attacking, & the camera works just fine, it's a turn based game, not an action game. Pay no attention to that, it's a good game overall.
