About Primordial Pain

Primordial Pain is a brutally unforgiving, fast paced arena shooter with one key mechanic:
Pain serves both as your health and as a multiplier for your damage output.
While playing you're constantly performing an elegant dance on the fine line of maximum power and certain death.
To defeat the primordial horrors that lurk in the darkness and overcome the pain you must perfect the dance.Primordial Pain constrains you to a seemingly small arena, provides you with various different movement options and proceeds to through waves of enemies at you each requiring a different strategy to defeat.
You will have to experiment with every single mechanic at your disposal to discover optimal strategies or you will get overwhelmed by hordes of adversaries.
Survive long enough and great ancient beasts will reveal themselves. While playing you can either focus on surviving for as long as possible or to top your own highscore.
Whereas time constantly ticks up, your score depends on how quickly you can dispatch enemies as well as your method.
Playing in a stylish way will reward you with more points to be added to your score.

A great arena shooter with movement, visuals, music, cool mechanics, and all the other cool things. The only thing that really irritates me is the red plants(COVETED) so damn annoying they dont go away they just sit there and if you're too reckless with where you shoot you accidentally destroy them and then they deal 1/4! of your pain like really thats stupid. Maybe I just need to get good somehow? The other things that kill me are just a me problem so, I got to that boss looking thing but again (COVETED) killed me.

I fell in love with this game immediately. The enemy design and variety is perfect for what it is, and the same can be said about the movement, shooting, and use of the damage gimmick in general. Sound effects and visuals are absolutely perfect while being completely functional. It doesn't get boring at all despite there only being one playable mode, I could play for hours. It feels like the old arcade format brought into a modern setting and I think it works incredibly well. There's room for improvement everywhere you look. You are rewarded for mastery of game mechanics, quick thinking and observation, and punished for any one wrong move. You need perfection, but this never feels unfair because of how everything fits so nicely together and it feels amazing to put acquired knowledge into practice. Fantastic little game. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something to waste time.
