I won't ask for a refund, simply because I got a good deal and I just paid $3.99 USD for it... But if had paid the regular $19.99 for this game, then I would probably be asking for a refund right now. This is definitely not my type of horror game at all. The candle mechanic is annoying, as you basically have a constant time limit inside the game. I generally hate playing games that have a time limit all the time, which is why I never really enjoyed games like 'Majora's Mask.' I like horror games where I can walk around and explore the places at peace, and deal with the monsters whenever they appear. But I don't like being like: "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I need to rush; time is running out. I gotta be faster the next time." Other than that, everything in this game also feels just average and monotonous, with all the corridors being nearly identical (at least as far as I got in the game). This is the type of game that I will probably never finish in my entire life.6 found this helpful
Just beat this game, and, well, it's good, not too long, around 8 hours. The puzzles are difficult in a good way, it doesn't hold your hand at all. there's a candle mechanic where your candle will slowly melt away, and you need to find a new one before a spirit kills you. Candles are pretty common, and it doesn't melt too fast to be annoying, plus you can hold 2 at a time. There's one issue where if you're trying to do a lock or puzzle it won't let you exit the puzzle until it's done, for me, it was an issue as I got a key and entered a puzzle room that required a code and i didn't find the code yet, I wasn't able to leave the puzzle until the code is complete, I had to reset to main menu and load save just to exit the puzzle other than that It's pretty good and would recommend1 found this helpful
Spent 45 minutes running around hallways until I finally figured out what I was missing. Glorified Slender: The Eight Pages. The initial story was interesting, but the gameplay is just meh.1 found this helpful
I really want to like this game. The environment is great and the beginning really sets the mood in a tense way, but it's all downhill from that point. You spend most of the time moving through identical corridors, opening drawers and inspecting objects, while triggering cheap jumpscares every few seconds. The corridors feel like a maze and not in a good way, which makes it really hard to navigate and keep your bearings. Not fun and mysterious, but tedious and frustrating.
decent story if got on sale.
It gets boring quickly, and there's no guide when I pick up new things to see what they're used for.
