About Relayer Advanced

■Outline
"Relayer Advanced" is a completely new simulation RPG by "GODWARS TEAM" with the theme of "stars, robots, and Greek mythology". This title depicts an epic battle between "Starchildren," who have awakened to the will of the stars, and "Relayer," a mysterious intelligent life form that plans to invade the earth. Players will command the "Stellar Gear" unit that the Starchildren board and battle against the "Relayer" forces. On stage, players will lead their troops to victory by making full use of such strategic systems as "Hate," which quantifies how easily enemies target you, "Skills" specific to jobs and characters, "Backstab," which launches pincer attacks, and "Big Bang," a special move.

■Overview of "Relayer Advanced"
"Relayer Advanced" is a powered-up version of "Relayer," which was released in March 2022, with an evolved UI, new features, and enhanced end content. Both "Relayer Advanced" and "Relayer" will be available for players who have already played "Relayer" and for those who are new to the game.

<Evolution of the UI, Luminous Line>
The UI of the battle map has been significantly redesigned. In addition to smaller character icons, the representation of movement and attack ranges has been changed from grid squares to luminous lines for improved visibility!
The grid squares and luminous lines can be optionally switched.

<Implementation of the recollection function>
A function to view the adventure part played during the game has been implemented; events at the time of acquiring the Stellar Gear NEXT can also be viewed, which is useful in case you accidentally skipped an event.

<Enhanced end content>
A high level mission called "Wormhole Mission" consisting of a total of 5 stages has been included. This mission is released after clearing the main game, and is even more difficult than the "Asterism Voyage," which is also end content, but the balance has been adjusted so that it can be cleared easily in easy mode.

■Story
We, the human race, were not alone.
The year is 2049.
Humanity finally encounters the mysterious "Relayer," an extraterrestrial life form.
At the same time, the discovery of an ancient galactic civilization sets in motion the destiny of " Starchildren," a human being who has awakened to special abilities.
The year is 2051.
The story of Starchildren and Relayer's destiny begins with the encounter of two women on the lunar colony "Artemis," built on the moon, a satellite of the earth.
Welcome to the world of this epic space adventure, where mankind, personified by the stars and Greek gods, and the ancient galactic race interweave!

※In addition to the standard version, there is a "Relayer Advanced EXTRA PACK" which includes the main game and the " Stellar Gear NEXT Pack". Please be careful not to purchase more than one copy of the game.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's stunning visual presentation, character and mecha design, fully voiced dialogue, and smooth animations, but are largely disappointed by shallow and repetitive gameplay that lacks strategic depth and tactical variety. Major complaints center on dull storytelling filled with anime clichés, subpar voice acting quality, limited skill uniqueness across classes, and missions that feel samey with minimal progression or customization options. While the art direction shows promise, most players feel the game doesn't deliver meaningful depth beneath its attractive surface.

There is a skeleton of something amazing here. The world, the lore, the mech design and the character designs are amazing. To be able to express distinction between characters even though the majority of them wear similar uniform is a masterstroke of character design. But that is all the praise that can be given to this game. There are so many problems. First of all, the gameplay of this game gets extremely repetitive and grindy very quickly. For a tactic game, the majority of the skills given to the characters have a distinct lack of uniqueness between them. The lack of AOE skills (except for ultimate that comes once in a long time) also limits the amount of strategizing and control the player have over the battlefield and make it more jarring when enemy bosses are able to spam them with no recourse. Then there's the story. There is a skeleton of a good story based on an interesting world building here, but all of that is squandered for the most asinine power of friendship story where enemies who hates each other and wanted to kill one another turned into friends on a dime, and there are no lasting or interesting conflicts or compelling antagonistic characters throughout its…

Dont get suckered in like me; Game has amazing presentation that promises a lot more depth and cool stuff to come... but its all smoke and mirrors. Classes and gear feel basically the same and generally worthless, every single mission is basically the same thing, and the story and characters are painfully dull. But you may think "At the least the attack animations are amazing!" and wonder how much cooler they get later... yeah, they dont change, at all... every weapon type has about 3 or 4 attack animations, and those animations will play regardless of skills being used, if its being used against a boss, etc; Always the same 3 or 4, with maybe an extra for aoe limit breaks (but those leave a lot to be desire and somehow are less hype than some of the regular attacks). All this without touching on the overall poor execution of the plot (like side dialog becoming available before plot events that it refers to, or the game spoiling characters joining/leaving before they do even if it has yet to actually happen). But hey, at the least you think "number go up right?" when it comes to leveling and unlocking new classes... yeah no, you barely ever see a difference, and class progres…

Pretty mid. Doesn't do anything particularly well. Fully voiced is a plus - most of which is pretty good with some being recognizable Graphics are pretty good Combat isn't super deep or tactical - thankfully you can speed this up Multiple classes per unit Not much freedom in the skill "tree", which is not really a tree because it's pretty linear Max res is HD, which is not very "advanced" No way to customize your keybinds UI will always show keyboard keys even if you use a controller Music can be a little repetitive At 62% off, I think this is a so so recommend.

Bad voice acting aside, I think this is worth your time if you like SRPGs. I like the animations and art style of the game. Everything is done very well when it comes to visuals. The only thing I dislike about this game so far is the voice acting.

5min into the game and i hate the voice acting. it is so bad. The game might be enjoyable if it was just txt based (and the story was worth reading). The story is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. Animations are good and combat ant bad. but i play a game like this for the journey. and if that journey is a piss poor mess then there ant much point continuing with it. i asked for refund

OOF. I'm not in the habit of kick someone when they are lying on the ground but... here goes: The story is utter cringe and the paceing is waaay too fast. It throws more anime tropes and cringe stereotypes (*cough* "bad starchild" *cough*) at you in the first 20 minutes then One Piece in 300 episodes. This is somebodys first writeing project and I wish it wasn't. The voiceover is... substandart. And that is me being nice. You can tell a lot of VAs are reading lines from a piece of paper without emotion and have no expirience and no direction. That sound quality of the voiceover files is low quality isn't helping. The mecha, spaceships, animations and even the stages look very nice.
