Will you take the enemy head-on with a Moskva, deploying a barrier that allows your allies to take some cover? Or perhaps you’d prefer the nimble Mogami that can dash behind enemy lines, deliver a deadly spread of super-heated projectiles, and dash back to safety? Choose wisely and co-operate with your team, and humanity may still have a chance to start anew.
You also have at your disposal a wide array of weaponry and abilities. Mix a flamethrower, the “Guzzler”, with a “Javelin” railgun or a "Viper" hand cannon with the "Buster" plasma rifle. Throw a supply pack for your teammates and receive a repair station as a thank you. Add mission modifiers to raise the stakes in exchange for increased rewards. Fight through each of the ship’s sectors, and free them to unlock new weapons and abilities.
Customize your weapons by re-rolling their stats, and upgrade them once you’ve found enough tech. Unlock passive bonuses as you increase in rank, and become the legend that aliens fear.

Product no longer works as you cannot contact the master server. Single player still requires to contact the server. Game needs a patch to remove this requirement. Until then it is unplayable. I believe you can still play with couch co-op in single player, but there are better ways to program this for a shutdown.16 found this helpful
As many have pointed out... the game devs decided against using steams free matching and server listing api and instead decided to host their own at their own cost which is now shut down making much of this game unplayable. There is only single player when the game was built around being upto 4 player coop. So yeah... pretty lame.. they could have made their game playable for ever but no they wanted the ability to lock it down and stop their customers from ever using a huge part of the game.. for what reasons we can only guess... generally its only for profits or power (control)..10 found this helpful
I don't like to give negative reviews but I really think this game should be patched since connection to Master Server is now offline. The 2 best options for this case would be changing the Multiplayer to be a Peer to Peer connection or develop at least some simple bots for single player and removing the menus that try to connect to Master Server (My game was "locked" trying to connect to a Master Server and I needed to Alt-F4). None of the 2 options I mentioned are the best but is at least something better than just abandoning the community. I was starting to like this game when I purchased it and hope one day a developer may read this and solve this issue.7 found this helpful

The developers handfisted mismanagement of the online component was a dealbreaker, resulting in this current disaster. At this point I would typically address any technical shortcomings with the game, but in this case, I am unable to even launch the game to verify it. The developer is fully aware of this and yet still has their hand out for YOUR money for an unplayable game. We can assume there were some underlying defects that lead to the game being abandoned by both players and the developer. Trident's Wake didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. Game's Master Server is down, you can't use the Host Server nor Matchmaking option to play, as it will stuck you in an endless loop. You can still play in couch coop (so multiplayer is still possible up to 4 players with Parsec and stuff)1 found this helpful
Servers are dead so you can't play with your friends without making a local game. I wouldn't recommend unless this doesn't bother you. Also you can have the game much cheaper than on steam :31 found this helpful
