Ladybird Reflect

I think the only thing this game taught me regards the fact that I had never thought before about the difference between ladybird and ladybug, but I'm reviewing this game while other persons are talking in the room I'm in and I'm not even an English speaker so I'll let you wonder what's the American word and what's the British one or whatever for that insect. The first thing anyways that came up to my mind is the referendum for I think the annexion of Austria to Germany in 1938, and other similar referendums made up by those totalitarian regimes 80 years ago - we had lots of them here in Italy too. Well, we're presented a huge advertisement telling us (plain white text on a black background) that we're gonna have seizures and epileptic attacks or whatever else, and the CANCEL button is like 10 times bigger than the continue one. Like JA and nein in those referendums, yeah it's the same graphics.. well =P Let's go on with the seizures, hoping I won't die in the meantime. Oh well, I'm writing a hugely negative review so I hope no one who reads this one will buy this crappy game. This game feels very unpolished. It has a few okay ideas, but many flaws. It's a sideways breakout clone in which your goal is to hit the thing on the other side. There's different sticks you can choose as your paddle which change the way the ladybug bounces off of it. There's power-ups in this game as well as power-downs. I lke the idea of having different paddles which bounce the ladybug differently, though the sticks except the first one appeared to me as unreliable. I have to come back on that one, because I haven't played with the other sticks for long enough to know for sure. The power-ups and -downs are hit or miss. I really like the cricket one, as it makes your ball affected to gravity so it bounces in an arc. It may not be useful every time, but it's unique and fun to see. There's an upgrade to make your paddle larger too, a staple in breakout clones. I dislike that it only gives you a larger default stick, even if you picked a different one, but it's better than nothing. Annoyingly, the paddle shrinks without a warning.
