About Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.8 Matsuribayashi
Story
June, 1983.
The summer heat has arrived earlier than it does most years.
By day there are cicadas, and by night, the higurashi.
Hinamizawa, a small village in the Japanese countryside.
While there are fewer than two thousand people there, every year, 'something' happens.
For the past 4 years, someone has died, and someone else has gone missing.
This series of deaths and disappearances is connected to the local resistance against a now-abandoned dam construction project.
A murder during the construction, covered up by the local authorities, is being re-enacted year after year.
Is it a conspiracy? A coincidence? Or perhaps a curse?
Someone who was supposed to be there... isn't.
Someone who wasn't supposed to be there... is.
Someone who was alive last night is now dead, and someone who is here right now isn't alive.
There is no way to avert this tragedy. There is no choice but to give up trying.
But even so... please don't give up.

No matter how bad the mistake, there's nothing that can't be forgiven. There's no such thing as an irreparable mistake. You just need to be more careful next time. ...She's still apologizing, even now. Then... has she really done something that can't be fixed? I have no idea what she's done, but if it can't be fixed, then that's all the more reason to forgive her.
I'm not ready for it to end
This long journey finally reaches its ending. I don't have a translation patch for this chapter, so this is the first time that I try to play an AVG in English. This chapter is so long indeed, especially the weaving fragments session. I was actually aware of one of the contradictions that in the Meakashi chapter,
Rika was killed but the residents of Hinamizawa still lived for many years afterwards, which is conflict with the 48 hrs rule. But I didn't think much about it.
However, I am still confused that in Ch8 does it really help to fake
Rika's death? It seems unnecessary, Takano easily saw through this and began to suspect Irie...
? As a conclusion, the stories tell us that 1. Solving the problem by killing others will lead to a bad end. 2. Ask your friends for help. 3. Au au au au au au..... Mii.... Nipah☆
Masterpiece.
