Even though this is one of the bigger titles when it comes to the visual novel genre, I put off reading it because I thought it was mostly hype. Now I see why that was a mistake and why it has such a cult following. Even while the slice-of-life sections set up the story in the beginning (which I tend to find tedious), this game piques your interest from the start and doesn't let go and keeps you constantly guessing while wanting to know more. I just couldn't put it down, and I can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds. (Disclosure: I'm playing with the recommended 07th-Mod patch, which adds in voice acting, original/console sprites, original background art, and the original musical tracks that you can switch between at any time.)1 found this helpful
