An interesting narrative framework, but I was hoping for more mystery and supernatural elements. Lack of voice acting kneecaps the immersion a bit.

I love the Kindaichi books and I think this is a really fascinating adaptation! It struggles somewhat with the nature of being a classic murder novel. It has to hit the big plot beats and the crime solving has to be fairly linear. I think if they freed themselves from the constraints of that linearity, really let loose some chaos into the structure, the game could really excel from good to great. Alas, I suppose it will have to contend with JUST adapting one of the most beloved international mystery novels of all time. I see a lot of complaints about the text speed in some reviews that were made pre-patches. At this time of writing, the text speed can now be changed to "very fast" in the settings, which I found sufficient for my own speed reading needs. I also never had troubles with crashing or bugs. Great first Kindaichi game, I hope they can make more!

I liked the story, like getting acquainted with the classics. I would like to see more adaptations, but with better technical execution.

Its a good story with nice art (and a few live segments near the end), the story is apparently adapted from a 40s Japanese mystery novel. You have to assign perspectives similarly to "No Case Should Remain Unsolved" but I agree with some other reviewers that not much is added with this. I still recommend it if you like mystery visual novels, maybe not if you are hoping for something more deduction heavy

I love the book and love no case should remain unsolved. The character art is also so pretty
