STORY
One rainy night in November, a woman's body is found at an abandoned theme park, mounted on a merry-go-round horse. She had been stabbed repeatedly, and her left eye was gouged out.
Kaname Date of the Metropolitan Police Department arrives on the scene. He recognizes the woman. Suddenly, he hears a noise from inside the merry-go-round.
He breaks into the merry-go-round's central column to find a young girl. And in her hands, she grips a bloody ice pick...

If you're a fan of Uchikoshi's work, especially the Zero Escape series, I highly recommend this game. It's a must-play! The story is fantastic, and the soundtrack and characters are just as memorable. You'll quickly grow attached to the cast and come to love them. Unraveling the game's mystery keeps you guessing until the very end, and watching everything gradually click into place as you progress through the different routes is an incredibly satisfying experience.1 found this helpful

At first I hated this game because of the bad advertising. It presents itself as a serious cyber noir investigation game, but once you get into it you realize it's an absurdist comedy drama investigation story. I felt kind of lied to, and If you read other reviews this is a common complaint. Yes it is stupid, random, and everyone's complaints are valid. I stuck with it and ended up loving it. It's been a long time since I was this invested in a story. I play so many games and read so many stories I normally can tell how the plot is going to go before I even get halfway through most games. This kept me guessing all the way to the true end. 10/10 just for pure novelty and originality. Give it a chance and it is a wild ride.
