About Let Them Breathe: Hello Mother

Mrs. Chen, the mother of Jesse Chen, is asked to pick up some documents; these documents reside at the University of Tokyo where she used to work. Upon her picking up these documents, she engages with audio recordings and diary entries that tells her what exactly took place in the experimentation room.

Follow Mrs. Chen and discover more about the world of Let Them Breathe. In this walking simulation and collectable game, you will explore a small abandoned laboratory. Within the different compartments of the library, you will find items in which you will be able to engage with such as recordings, and documents in which you have to collect so as to win the game.

In this casual short game with a spice of thriller, the atmosphere allows for the player to walk the environment to discover what took place within various locations of the game. The player will find out more about the location, and the two individuals who once occupied the space prior to the player's arrival.

Let Them Breathe: Hello Mother is a video game that takes place within the Let Them Breathe franchise. It tells the story of Mrs. Chen who is the mother of one of the characters in the indie web series and even the indie movie, Let Them Breathe: City on the Ocean.

"Let Them Breathe: Hello Mother" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This comes across as more of an experiment/tech demo than a real game, it's a "speedrunner" themed walking sim (huh) where you run around a bunch of badly arranged stock assets, collecting a few bits of flavour text to unravel some mystery at the University of Tokyo, and the mystery turns out to be why anyone in their right mind would think it's ok to publish garbage like this on Steam. The developer offered prizes for the fastest players to run through the game (isn't the point of walking sims to take your time??), but really they should have offered prizes for the people who could uninstall it the fastest, because that's what everyone who tried this did as rapidly as possible. Just kidding, uninstalling this and removing it from your library is a rewar…

That's it! It's a fun game, you can put tons of hours into this game, it might not be for everyone, but regardless you can do a lot in this game. A few things might not interact with other people and some other things might be annoying for some, but there's a lot of content here to beat and if you think you're going to like it, you're definitely going to like it!

I haven't played much yet but from what I've played I really like it, the gameplay is good, the music is good and it feels really fun. I've made a lot of progress in the game but I'm more curious about the ending, I'll try to finish it as soon as possible.
