About Dear Mom

I'm not really sure if Dear Mom is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. This is a poorly made walking sim, you just walk around a (probably) asset flipped scene and collect little floating hearts, each heart throws a bit more narrative at you. It's got a voiceover so at least they put some effort in, one of the reasons I feel this is a more sincere attempt to make a game, although failing to credit asset creators is wrong. It's very short and simply not worth the money considering how many better free games you could be spending your time with. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that…4 found this helpful

1 found this helpful
As a artistic piece of self-expression this cool. As a game, no. Especially given you'll have to ctrl+alt+detete out of it. Pass1 found this helpful
A really sweet story about taking things and people for granted and how to think of things passed. I really liked it and they way it was told. Its not big but still very nice. Its FREE and i can totally recommend it
This is a very touching game that talks about real things that everyone with a mom can relate to. It's a simple game with a few easily obtainable achievements. I feel like the environment is bigger than it needs to be for a short game.
